When Shakura attacked him he was weak but he still had his superhuman cheel strength. This time, he doesn't seem to have any of that either, so he's much weaker than he would normally be. Plus these guys seemed supernatural so probably already stronger than an average human.

IDK about others but I got some "Angel becoming human" vibes from this whole "Veer loses his powers" thing. For those here who watched those shows back in the day...there was an ep of the spinoff Angel in which Buffy visits Angel in LA and he becomes human. For a while that's great coz it means he can be with Buffy, but it also means he becomes supremely weak in comparison to his former vampire self (as well as in comparison to Buffy who has super strength even as a human), and therefore can't fight alongside her or protect her (not that she needs it). Ultimately he chooses to get his powers back (even though it means he can't be with Buffy anymore...I swear that ep broke me, damn you Joss Whedon 😭) because then at least he's not a liability for her or anyone else.

Obviously, this show is no BtVS/Angel 😆 but I just saw a similarity in terms of the idea that Veer feels powerless to protect Bani right now - even if she doesn't need his protection, he's always been right there beside her and has never needed her to protect him. Now, he must feel like he can't even protect his wife from some galli ke gunde. Again, she doesn't care about that or need him to protect her, but it must add to his distress, esp after Jai's jibe that life partners are supposed to protect each other and keep them safe 😭 I did like how she was all "provoke him and he'll rip you to pieces" to the Parekh brothers though...she knows how savage her cheel can be.

I mean if he’s human he needs time to recover most woukd be dead already 😆 also not to forget gandhak baby helped papa cheelu which the writers have forgotten about

But I see the parallels - for Veer he and bani have always been equals and if anything it’s part of his instincts to protect her even though many times she has told him she doesn’t want or need it. And to not be able to protect the reason of his living must be soul wrenching. Can’t wait to see him
