Also, CVs, focus on plot, please! I don't care if you add drama but the story should make sense! What exactly was Ru and Pree's plan here? Also, I get it that we pray when we need help/are stuck/get lost but this expecting Venkateshwara to solve every damn problem without using their own brains is just too much and did I mention, very pathetic writing at that. 🤬

If you have to create drama, show Ahana-Mishka plotting against M, I would rather watch them. This is too much attention given to a character we don't even like, plus the actress is busy with another show too - so give her and the audience some much needed respite!

Long rant alert -

The major problem is not even that we hate Mahima. I mean, that we do, but what really hurts is that none of the characters that we have grown to love so much over the past months make sense anymore. I really don't get how Mahima's POV is shown but not Ru's or Pree's. Who are the leads of YHC again?

We are all here to watch RuSha's story, that means, Ru and Pree as individual characters plus them together. Ever since Ru got Akka home and left Pree alone in HM, Ru's character doesn't make sense to me. Ever since Pree stopped caring for Saransh sometime after Mahima's track started, she doesn't make sense either. Ru tells Pree he loves her and can't exist without her (terrace scene) then proceeds to put her down, humiliate and threaten her, even leave her and doesn't even want to talk to her if it isn't about Saransh. Ru fell for the mother that Pree was to S, but doesn't recognize her struggles during the custody track. Pree does Akka jaap the entire time, then doesn't show any reaction when she learns her sis is a shitty person and has always been so. Pree loves S but shows no heartbreak when S's custody does to Mahima. Both Ru and Pree are doing everything Saransh ke liye but don't care enough about him to wonder how safe their kid will be with a person who is a con of the highest order.And then, as if the suicide and custody tracks didn't happen, Ru and Pree are happily romancing without addressing any of the aforementioned issues. Yuvraj is supposed to be a brilliant criminal but doesn't realize marrying Mahima would be the safest way to get the trust fund that he so desires with her getting Saransh's custody. Like who even are these characters? Even the lollipop RuSha scenes don't take away from the absolute disaster that has been this track.

True, YHC got their best TRPs last week but that was in anticipation of RuSha's reunion, NOT because of Mahima. It's because their loyal audience has continued to watch and has given makers the time to get the story back on track. For comparison, when IPL ended, Anupama was 2.5+ and the other shows were all pretty much below 2. But immediately after that, Anupama went to 3.5+, both Imlie and Ghum Hai started on the leads' story and they went from being below 2 to now 2.5+.

YHC, on the other hand, didn't witness as much growth post IPL because they thought not focusing on the leads was a laudable idea. If that wasn't enough, they decided to desecrate the entire basis of RuSha's love story and give some random character maximum screen space. Like why would you do this to your own show and make your loyal audience want to stop watching? If it wasn't clear, even TRP audience likes to watch a good story. If you have any doubts, look at cooker 2.0 for god's sake.

Makers, high time you get the story and characters back on track dammit! This time, if TRP drops, it might not be that easy to get it back up again even with RuSha lollipops since patience does have its limits.

Disclaimer: This is not meant to offend any show or their fans, I am just speaking analytically about the numbers here.

Also, I just remembered, Saru said during KJ/MU track that there would be lots of twists and turns. That time, I didn't know what it's code for, but looking back, in hindsight, it would have actually been better if I just didn't watch the episodes and basically ff-ed them once the track was over.

Going by Saru's recent interview and the damn mention of twists and turns again, especially with how the CVs are executing this track with over-abundance of Mahima and nonsensical storyline, I think it's probably a good time to take a break and just catch standalone RuSha scenes on Insta probably. 😒

You forgot Saraansh though. I’m not sure if he’s changed or if Ru’s brattiness is rubbing off on him!

The RuSha lollipops aren’t enough for me and going forward will be reading reviews on Twitter before I invest time watching an episode or will catch the odd scene on IG. I’m intrigued enough to continue doing that only b/c AbrarGun are so damn good and I can enjoy a scene in isolation. But truthfully, I haven’t recovered from Ru’s vile behaviour and can’t really move on until he apologizes in some way. When he says he loves her, it truly falls flat and I just want to roll my eyes.

It’s so sad what they’ve done with the storyline. I’m so confused why they are obsessed with Mahima and her stupid drama. There are so many fine actors on this show and I miss watching them.

And speaking of Saraansh ke Liye BS, it’s so weird that no one gives a crap about him lately. He even sleeps with Mahima like wtf?? Does Ru believe she’s okay?? Or is he just so into college kid flirt mode, that he’s forgotten to worry about S’s safety?

@bold - same! While I like how they have shown progress in Sharda's character and toned down Ballu, I can't imagine how they have underutilized Ash S and Tanu as actors and GPS as a character. Ahans and Mishka are anyday more watchable than Mahima. Frankly, no offence to Yagya, but Saransh's character sketch has been off post lockdown. He is just used as a prop to bring Ru and Pree closer and make them do kiddish Sorry's and now contribute to Mahima drama.

The makers clearly have stopped caring about the storyline and Ru and Pree's characters. They don't get thoughts, POVs, neither do they have serious talks with each other. Sometimes, they just stare at eo's eyes and we are supposed to believe that's love and everything that happened is supposed to be forgotten. Even teenage dramas show more retrospection these days. Every time I lower my expectations, the CVs manage to beat even that, kinda tired of this loop now. So, will probably catch RuSha scenes one-off going forward.

Hopefully, the CVs at least manage to get the TRPs that they are so after!
