Who was the bigger star at their peak, Dharmendra or Sunny Deol? 

Overall it has to be Dharmendra obviously, because he has lasted for 60 years as a actor, but I am talking about their peaks

Dharmendra's peak period was from 1966 to 1983.

Sunny Deol was 1989 to 2001

Very close but Sunny Deol. Very Underrated. Has the 4th most bumper openings all time. The undisputed king of the 90s, no matter what the paid media wants to push as their agenda.

Shahrukh Khan- 14

Amitabh Bachchan- 14

Sunny Deol- 12

Dharmedra- 11

Aamir Khan- 9

Sunny by miles. He was a better actor and much bigger superstar than his dad.

This isn't about longevity. Dharmendra has the most successes and nobody will ever come close to that. This was about peak. 

Peak was close for both. Every Sunny film was getting bumper openings in the 90s when it was much harder to do unlike today with 4000 screens. 

Sunny has also broken the opening record multiple times, Dharmendra has done it only once. 

Dharamendra peak level was insane 

Close call btw him n kaka for all time no1 box office power 

Dharam Garam. Sunny actually never had a peak. A good year every 5th year that used to be Sunny's peak.
