Well divorce was due to happen. It was going to happen sooner or later. So yeah here it is but still it hasn't been finalized yet. Now if they do go ahead with it or not is yet to see.

I agree with you to an extent that Riddhima was also at fault with whatever happened with her.

Though not entirely because when you love someone you do trust them and at times blindly too. Here we need to understand that Kabir is not just a guy with whom Riddhima was in love with he is also her friend and her family. He was someone she used to look as her future and her family. Now even if she doesn't love him in that way yet he still holds other relations with her as her friend and family. Hence he still has her trust and let's be honest here if we compare we trust our family more than we do to a stranger. Here Vansh was a stranger that to not with a very good image. Someone who married her forcefully as well.

Though once she started seeing Vansh with her own eyes and understanding him she did tried to do the right thing once she realised the truth.

Chapter 15

“We can’t retract the decisions we’ve made.

We can only affect the decisions we’re going to make from here.”

"What? I mean, did I heard properly or something had happened to my eardrums due to a lot of planning? You said you want to give divorce to Vansh. The man whom you loved truly."

asked Sejal

"Don't be shocked. It is true what you have heard just now. I want to give divorce to Vansh."

replied Ridhima.

Sejal: But why suddenly? Then what about this plan of yours to teach them a good lesson?

Ridhima: That will continue for sure. Court won't give the divorce the moment you apply. It takes some necessary procedures to complete the whole divorce process. In meantime, I will teach both Kabir and Vansh a good lesson.

Sejal: Babes, you know I will support whatever decision you take. But, are you sure regarding this step? Think before you file the case because you will be ending every relation you have with not just him but also with this family.

Ridhima: I'd rather have my heart broken than break someone else's heart. Don't you see no one is happy in this relation? I mean, though I wanted to teach Vansh a lesson, then what after that? Is it possible to stay with the man who is trying to hurt me for the mistakes Kabir did? I agree, I did try to betray him, he has all rights to hurt me on that basis, but for what Kabir did with Ragini, how could he decide that I should pay? It's better to leave the relation which is killing me day by day rather than staying and be dead in the end.

Sejal: Babes, this step might lead you to distrust every man in your life in the future. The emotions you go through is like, ... You can't trust anything anymore, no-one is who they say they are, your life will be changed forever, and the only thing to come out of the whole ugly experience is no-one will be able to break your heart like that again. Like your heart will turn into something else.

Ridhima: I don't see divorce as a failure. I see it as the end of a story. In a story, everything has an end and a beginning. With two heart-breaks experience, I will tell you something, "If you believe in romance, and if you believe in marriage, you also have to believe in divorce."

Sejal: I understand I know nothing about the heart-break and marriage but let me tell you that, the process of divorce is like loading a blanket, throwing it up, watching it all spin, and worrying what stuff will break when it lands.

Ridhima: When you love someone, I believe you should be unselfish enough to give them whatever they want. For Kabir's love, I married Vansh. Now, for Vansh, I'm ready to divorce him.

"Wait, wait for Vansh? Babes if you want a divorce do it for yourself, not for anyone else. Do it because that's good for you. For your peace of mind and a better future. Okay, let us take a second opinion on this. I know you might be thinking why I'm saying all this because; tomorrow I don't want you to regret or break again because of the repercussions you would be facing with this,"

says Sejal.

"Done. Whom we can connect with? Is it fine to speak to your mother?"

asks Ridhima.

"Sure, why not. Also, it has been ages since I spoke to Mom. Wait, let me call her. "

replies Sejal.

Sakshi Randhawa Shergill is busy these days with the new aerospace project. She is checking so many companies and doing a thorough checkup of not only their business strategies but also what kind of people they are. While she is busy with her associates in her cabin, she checks her phone as its continuously ringing and her assistant says,

"it's your daughter, Sejal."

Sakshi checked her phone to check the time and it is half-past two at night while her daughter is calling her at this moment. She knows Sejal is with Ridhima in the VR mansion, so she excused herself from the meeting which came as a shock for her associates because SRS never leaves a meeting in the middle least because of a phone call.

She might be a mighty businesswoman to the world but for her kids, she is a mother at the end of the day. With a worried tone, she asks,

"Everything is okay, Sej? Calling at this hour of time? Is Ridhima fine?"

Sejal: Everything is fine, maa. However, we need your advice. It's Ridhima.

Sakshi: Give the phone to her

"Hi, hope you are fine. Sorry to disturb you at this hour. How come you are working still? Don't you need to go home and take a rest?"

asks Ridhima

Sakshi smiles and says,

"I feel you have an issue to solve. Maybe to solve that issue, God has made me work till late night today."

Ridhima smiles and replies,

"It's about my marriage life. I want to divorce Vansh."

Next Morning

As per doctor instructions, Ragini should walk 45 minutes every morning so she can build her metabolism and strength in her legs. Vansh is walking along with her, however, due to the call Vansh leaves her, moves to the hall, but making sure, Ragini is under his scrutiny.

Kabir who sees Vansh left Ragini alone jumps through the wall and reaches to Ragini and stands before her. Though his sudden action has frightened her, seeing who is standing before her, she exhales air. She looks hither and thither and says,

"Do you know what you did? Vansh left for a few seconds. He will be coming back now. Leave from here."

She pushes Kabir aside and starts walking.

Kabir follows her and catch hold of her hand and says,

"Give me one more chance Ragini, I will set everything right. You said right, you will help me regarding Vansh's case. Please do that and whatever you ask it is yours. You will be the Queen of my world."

Ragini turns back at him while also maintaining distance and asks,

"How can I trust you? You can betray me again?"

Kabir smiles wickedly and says,

"Whatever you want, I'm ready to do."

Ragini stops walking again and says,

"Then, catch hold of the person who has shot me on the day when I was with Vansh in the warehouse. Someone has shot me and I need to know who it is. If you bring the wrong culprit and said he or she did it, then I'm going to reveal that your mother is the one who killed Vansh's mother in front of him. Got it!"

Leaving Kabir all alone and in anger, Ragini leaves the place. What they both didn't notice is Vansh is watching everything from far though did not hear a word and felt elated by seeing Ragini distancing herself from Kabir.

Afternoon lunchtime

While everyone sat for lunch, Dadi is the only one who noticed that neither Ridhima nor Sejal was present at the table. She saw her grandson but seeing so immersed with Ragini, she tries to get up from the table to call them but sees them coming down with some papers.

Ridhima passes through Dadi while passing a smile and stands near Vansh and calls him,

"Vansh I need to talk to you. Do you have two minutes?"

Everyone on the table while eyeing Ridhima curiously and the papers in her hands, Vansh was helping Ragini with choosing the dishes. Though the humiliation hurt her she masked with an unknown cold emotion which was noticed by all especially Ishani who is thinking deeply about those papers.

"What is with Ridhima's emotions and those papers. Wait, did Ridhima filed for"?

thought Ishani

Dadi: Vansh, can't you see your wife wants to speak with you for a few minutes. What's wrong with you these days?

With anger on his face, Vansh turns towards Ridhima and says,

"What?"

"Is this the way you to speak with Ridhima? I can see since few days you have changed. But don't change too much that you would repent later"

says Dadi.

With a long sigh, Vansh looks at Ridhima and asks,

"What is it Ridhima? Is everything alright? What are these papers?"

"I want a divorce, Vansh,"

says Ridhima shocking everyone on the table including Vansh.

"What, you are asking me for what?"

asks Vansh

"Divorce, Vansh which means the legal dissolution of a marriage by a court or other competent body,"

said Sejal with sarcasm dripping.

Vansh gets up from the table and marches towards Sejal while Ridhima covers her and locks her eyes with his as challenging him. Vansh was taken aback with sudden confidence of Ridhima and says,

"I know what divorce means, but why?"

"Why not?"

asks Ridhima.

Dadi knew this day would be coming but, she never thought so soon. She can understand since, for a couple of days, the pain Ridhima is going through. However, she cannot let Ridhima leave this house. She knows Ridhima has all rights to leave the house but, Vansh cannot get a better partner than Ridhima, so she moves towards her and says,

"Give him sometime Ridhima. He will change. He will come to you."

Ridhima smiles at Dadi and keeping her hands on hers and says,

"Are you sure, Dadi?"

Now that's where Dadi went into loss of words mode. She hung her head down and move backwards while eyeing Vansh with disgust. Vansh saw everything and understood Ridhima's Plan.

"If he gives divorce to Ridhima then she won't be affected by the pain which he has planned. However, right now she is in pain, so which she asked for a divorce. Isn't this good to give her divorce because tomorrow she might once get betrayed by me? He anyways would have given her divorce later on."

thought Vansh.

Ridhima eyes at Vansh and can understand what he might be feeling. He was having mixed emotions right now. Ridhima doesn't want to waste her time so she says,

"I will give you time until tonight, Vansh. Let's meet at the dinner table tonight and do let me know your decision. You know every answer of yours will have a repercussion to face."

Ridhima leaves the place eyeing Ragini and all this noticed by Ishani and Sia. For the first time, Ishani felt bad for Ridhima even if slightly. She has no love for Ridhima but, seeing her husband with someone else will cause any wife heartbreak. Seeing her brother standing like a statue and rather than saying No, thinking about the decision, makes her clear about his decision. She knows tonight what her Vansh bhai is going to say.

thought Ishani.

Ridhima was back in Sejal room and closing her eyes remembers the talk she had with Sakshi, the motherly figure for her yesterday night.

Flashback

"I want to divorce, Vansh,"

says Ridhima

There was a long pause from the other side and then comes a reply,

"Okay, if that is what you want,"

says Sakshi

"You don't want to know why I took this decision and doesn't want to tell me the norms and all,"

asks Ridhima

Sakshi smiles and says,

"I'm a woman. For any woman, the process of parting away from her husband is not easy, that too when a woman loves her husband so much. Knowing that her husband is betraying her and still went back to him to teach him a lesson, yet, decided to move away from him, then I can see why that woman is ready to part away."

Sakshi continues,

"When a woman leaves a husband, or a husband leaves a woman, however it happens, death, desertion, divorce - the three D’s, when that happens, a woman blooms. She blossoms like flowers. It's then when she becomes her own person. Detaching away from her husband and in-laws won't be easy it never is but it's when you are free from all bonds you'll find yourself and at this moment beta that is what you need the most. You need to be away from them start afresh and find yourself and figure out what you truly desire. You don't need any man in your life to be truly happy. Find your inner happiness if this is how it is so it. "

Ridhima has tears in eyes while listening to those words. Seeing her in tears, Sejal comes near and puts her hand on her shoulder, and says,

"Momzee your words are bringing tears in her eyes. Don't be so sentimental with her."

Sakshi smiles at the other end and says,

"Ridhima, we are with you. Don't think anything else. If that is your decision, then stick with it. This time we are with you. Over and above, I don't think none in the world exists who is ready to pick a fight with Ridhay. You know how much Ridhay adores you. The moment I tell him, I'm sure he is going to be ready with everything. Even the things Vansh might not be aware of. Also, regarding the lawyer, you don't worry. I will take care"

says, Sakshi

"But, they might know from the lawyer who you are and all,"

asks Ridhima

"Ridhima, we are Randhawas and Shergills. Don't underestimate us anymore and now you're also a part of the family. So, leave everything to us and calm yourself down"

says Sakshi and ends the call.

Flashback end

Ridhima moves in the garden enjoys the cool rainy breeze, "We are all shaped by our pasts. And we carry elements of the past into the future. But nothing can threaten the future quite as much as the debts of the past. I, Ridhima am not going to keep anything related to the VR mansion. I will pay to repay everything and leave this house," thought Ridhima with a determined look on her face seeing the mansion from the garden chairs.
