Suchi s monologue in the bedroom is what we feel while watching the episode...she correctly judged about ramesh..

I know many here don't like aari but the hatred archana is showing towards him is going overboard...

Archana n ramesh commenting about the SI act of aari as "SI means summa irukkar " railway station vasala poi summa irukkar " was really rude...adhuvum ramesh calling aari as ' summa irukkar' is .. ...😕

Hope these people niomnate ramesh n archana n one of them goes out next week ..

No, I definitely didn't mean to criticise her. She grew up in a foreign country and will surely be more comfortable with English. Ivalo thamizh pesurathey periya vishayam. But I'm speaking more about Aari's antics. He tried capturing the language vote base by harping on the language and speaking in thooiya thamizh to his wife, but both his wife and child speak more in English 😃

I don’t think Ramesh will go anytime soon. I think if Archana was not there maybe he would had been gone by now....Archana full time job right now is to establish the weakness of others, insult others subtly, boss some in the name of love and limit their activities....promote Ramesh...morning task...she was praising him as if he did a super performance this week....indirectly to the HMs saying don’t take his name in worst performance.

Uma , we speak in Tamil with kids all the time. We watch tamil movies and tamil TV shows at home most of the time . I put them in Tamil school to improve their language. still my kids prefer to think and speak in English 😒. We are only 20-30% of their life (at home) , rest of the day they spend with their friends at school and other places. I don’t think it is the mentality of the parents , kids prefer to use what they are comfortable with I think. In due course parents also start talking to them in English to make them easily understand.

Maya, how is your Tamil ? Do you think in tamil or English before speaking ? Just asking to understand how my kids would grow up in the future . They can read in Tamil as they attend tamil school in the weekend. Still prefer to speak in English unless forced.

I did my primary and high school in French...college and university in english....I can’t write or read in Tamil as I never took class but I could speak and understand Tamil very fluently...at home only Tamil is used....however with my cousins I speak in English even if they can understand Tamil...with my friends same...we speak in English but we do have conversation in Tamil when needed ( when subject is such...like Tamil movies)...my friends also speak very well in Tamil...in fact they can read and write in Tamil...my Tamil is good as I used to watch a lot of Tamil movies growing up and also we always spoke in Tamil at home and with the elder family members( aunt, uncle...). Also honey, there are many Tamil ppl here and we are integrated into it one way another....my cousin kids are going to Tamil school now...one of my niece couldn’t initially speak anything in Tamil but after going to Tamil school she improved...she is 9 now and she even watches all these Tamil serials that I don’t...like barathi kannama lol...my other nieces are so fluent in Tamil and even can sing Tamil religious songs very well...they also all take baranatyam classes.....however one my cousin speak mostly in English with my niece and the other cousin in Tamil at home...there is a difference due to that...I do believe speaking in Tamil at home helps to have a fluency....also watching Tamil movies or shows.
