It was clearly shown that Nikki told him not to kiss. He was kissing her without a reason. She was doing her own thing and he comes and kisses her. It was awkward even to watch. I would recommend people to watch that clip to get the feel of the situation. These things are inexplainable but you have a got feeling that it doesn't feel right.

Just for Jaan's dos bechara acting, everyone is supporting him but from the beginning, Nikki was clear that she wanted nothing but friendship with him. She can't be meaner than that to make him understand that she is not interested. It was just supposed to be an alliance and game.
