AT TEA HOUSE-X
Geet looked at the building she was abt to live for the next few days…maybe months…She was thrown outta her house just coz she didn’t want to marry the guy her family has chosen for her…It was a merger of two family’s business rather than two ppl…She declined the proposal and refused to marry and the next mint, her family disowned her…Particularly her father...So, she gathered a few of her belongings and left her house…But, she knew her loving father too well, it was mere spur of anger and once his anger is melted down she will be called back but as her big fat ego was hurt so she too took her belongings and left the house… She has inherited this anger and fierceness from her father…Her mother only could call her name before she took a taxi and went away….
So, here she was renting a flat in another city all thanks to one of her friends …who managed a flat for her…Grabbing her handbag, she entered the elevators, where a guy was already in…who only glanced at her before turning his head away…Seeing a stranger, she felt bit uneasy…The pampered child she was, new to these things...She never liked unnecessary attention...Being new in the city wasn’t helping either…..
Maan looked at the unknown girl and then looked away waiting for her to press her desired floor button…But, when she just stood silently Maan intervened…
Maan:- Press your floor…
Geet(looked at the stranger, and thought he was good looking):-Y…Yes….And she pressed the same floor button as Maan’s …
The lift was abt to close when 2 guys came inside running…Now she felt more nervous..in between 3 guys…Her grip on her bag tightened…when the 2 guys passed her weird smiles…And soon she felt a guy tried touching her…Geet glared that boy but he only smiled sheepishly…in response she flinched and inched closer to Maan…grabbing his arm in an instinct …
Geet gasped as she found the good looking guy gripping her wrist and tagging her to the wall….placing his one arm on her one side and looking at her sideways….and then glancing back at the building’s flirty guys…
Maan:- Stay away…
Guys:- Sorry….
Guys were terrified coz Maan was famous businessman and was living with them in their building from past couple of months though they didn’t know why he left his castle to live in a rented building’s small apartment… But ever since, he moved in the building, their activities were rendered as he has threatened them a no. of times before this day…
Guy 1:- His GF???
Guy 2:- I don’t think…
Guy 1:- But look at him the way he is protecting her it seems he knows her…
Guy 2:- Hmmm…Maybe…
The guys were whispering things with each other but Geet’s full concentration was on Maan…Who just leaned towards her pretending they were talking and she only gazed down, looking for an escape…She knew he was protecting her, and so she didn’t protest being caged like that…But, her insides were shaken badly…Just not even a day outside her home and here she was face to face with the true world ….
The elevators stopped and Maan eyed her to get outta there…Geet followed his command and both were outta there… ASA they were out…Maan resumed walk and left her looking at his retreating figure in awe….He didn’t even try to talk with her… and here she was mentally preparing her thank you speech…All in vain…
Geet:- Weird guy…(shrugging her shoulders she went to her flat…Now a bit confident which was given by that stranger)

Geet entered the Tea House, she has come to know from her good neighbors…But, that was small Tea house…And almost all the tables were occupied…And then she located the weird good looking guy..She smiled and went to his table…Done recalling a thank you speech…
Maan was engrossed in his laptop totally focused in his work unaffected with the loud noises in the House…He needed to prepare this presentation before the meeting time when he heard a female voice…which greeted him…Maan looked up at the owner of the voice…
Geet:- Hi….
Maan:- Hello… (He glanced at her and then back at his work)
Geet:- Errmm…If you don’t mind…Can I join you…All other tables are occupied…
Maan:- Uhh!!! Yes, sure…plzz… (He replied politely with closing his laptop)
Geet:- Thank you…
Both looked here and there…Where Maan was thinking how to finish his presentation as his sole purpose of leaving his house and shifting in here was to save time but without his staff he was struggling…Not wanting to rely on his staff, now he needed to prepare the presentation too by himself…And then there was Geet, thinking on how to start a convo with him…She cleared her throat a no. of times and that grabbed Maan’s attention…
Maan:- Am Maan…
Geet(looked at him as he broke the silence):- Uhh… Geet…
Maan:- Nice meeting you…
Geet(that encouraged her):- Actually, I just saw you here midst of this crowd and thought to say what I couldn’t that day…
Maan:- Uhh!! What??? (Puzzled, he looked at her)
Geet:- Thank you… You helped me the other day in the elevators… (She finished and knew, he clearly didn’t recognize her)
Maan:- Ahh That !!! Its ok…. Actually they are building’s bad guys, they flirt with girls… So, take my advice, be careful…
Geet:- Yeah..I got to know…Thanks anyways…(And then there again was silence for a few mints)
Maan:- Do you wanna have something??? Tea…Coffee…snacks???(What a gentleman, he offered her and she smiled in response)
Geet:- Actually I thought I will have lunch in here…But, its just a Tea House…
Maan:- Oh no no…They do serve parathas… You can have them with Tea??? (He suggested with a shrug)
Geet:- Oh Wow…I love parathas…(He could see, she was just happy with the name itself)
Maan smiled and ordered for her… Geet smiled… looking at him…He definitely was a nice person…and with that attire, he looked even more handsome… She wondered was he some student….Just then her gaze fell on his laptop and she got an excuse for a convo…
Geet:- Errmmm What were you doing??? (She pointed at his laptop)
Maan:- Ahh!!! Typing a presentation…
Geet:- Are you student???
Maan(smiled):- Uhh!!! No…I …run a business…
Geet:- Small scale business???
Maan:- No…Large one…
Geet:- Strange… Even after running large business you are typing presentation by yourself??? Don’t you have your employees doing such things for you???
Maan:- You know abt business???
Geet:- Of course, my Dad is a businessman…So, little bit…
Maan:- Actually I have rented this place coz this is close to my client’s place…In order to save my time and energy from travelling back and forth…Am living in this building for a few weeks now… Am close to seal the deal so…Will leave after this client is satisfied…
Geet:- Ohh!!! (Her paratha came with a cup of Tea) Plz have some…
Maan:- Ahh!! Thank you…You have it…I have done my brunch…
Geet:- Oh… But, still you can give me company… It doesn’t look good if only I eat all this…
Maan:- As you say… (He called the waiter and asked for his coffee…Now both were at ease) So, what do you do???
Geet:- Nothing …I just ran from my house… (She blurted and he looked astonished) Errmmm …I mean…My Dad…He …threw me outta my house…
Maan:- What have you done that he took such step???(He was amused at her explanation)
Geet:- I refused to marry the guy he wanted me to marry…The son of his business associate…
Maan:- Ohh!!! (He didn’t ask further as it was her personal matter)okhhh…What have you studied???
Geet:- Commerce…
Maan:- Really???
Geet:- Yup…
Maan(thought something):- I have an offer for you…Can you do a job for me???
Geet:- What job???
Maan:-Can you prepare a presentation for me???
Geet:- You kidding right??? I don’t know the business thing…
Maan:- But you do know the little bit??? (He turned back her own said words at her with a suggestive look in his eyes)
And Geet was caught off guard…She bit her lips as he looked at her for a positive response and finally when she nodded he open the laptop lid…and told her the details…In the meantime, Geet wiped her hands clean….
In a next few secs, she was engrossed in the laptop and the material he provided…Maan was busy analyzing her capabilities…He was quite impressed as she asked a few important questions…and at the end of his coffee,she was all done with the presentation…Satisfied she passed him the laptop and he went through her work…
Maan:- You were such a savior Geet…I was so bored doing stuffs like this …and here you saved me… Thank you…
Geet:- Give me my money???(She said as she extended her hand taking him by surprise.. So, she smiled looking at his baffled expressions) Actually,I left the house without much stuff…So, need to buy so many things…and I don’t have any job as of now… Can I burrow some from you???
Maan:- Relax…Don’t explain that much ….There’s no need… By the way, I just offered you a job…
Geet:- Yeah but you said you soon are moving back form here…So, how am I to continue that job for you???
Maan:- I live at ABC… I can arrange an accommodation for you there…
Geet:- That area must be expensive …
Maan:- Are you planning to stay here for rest of your life???
Geet:- Not really…My Dad loves me lot..So, once his anger is subsided he will contact me and then I will go back…But, till then I needa do something naa…For my living….
Maan:- Hmmm… Will think for a way and let you know tomorrow…
Geet:- okhh… I will take your leave now… Thank you… for…everything… (She said the sentence with pauses making him smile at her) Ahh!!By the way, those two guys… They now greet me with respect these days… They call me Bhabhi ji… Guess, they misunderstood…
Maan(smiled):- Good for you… Let it be like this till you are here… You will be safe like this…
Geet:- Yes, but I think I can manage now…Am getting used to this area now…Quite similar to mine.. Anyways thank you…Bye…
Maan nodded at her as she smilingly left from there…And then he looked at his laptop that reminded him of his client and then he was lost in his work….

Its been a month now…Geet still coming in that Tea House to meet and work for him and Maan still managed to stay there at the same building…Shifting his work place on permanent basis..Though Maan’s father didn’t like what he was doing was useless….burdensome for his staff but as he looked at his overjoyed boy he was happy for his Son… Geet’s Dad still didn’t call her nor did she try getting back to her house for she was happy in this new found world around her…Liking each other’s company they were lost in the works they were involved in…Maan would pay her on daily basis and never said no to her…He even accompanied her when she requested him to go shopping with her…By these meetings both knew a lot abt each other…Yet, none dared to say out loud what they felt for each other… scared to ruin their relation….
One fine day, At Tea House….
Maan:- Geet, you are ruining this…(He almost snatched the papers from her)
Geet(was offended):- Hawww!!! Am not …See, you are being stubborn…Make it like this …. (She tried to grab the pencil from him but Maan dodged her with a sarcastic smile, angering her) Fine don’t tell me, when this gets rejected…
Maan:- Geet, am an architect and I know my work…better than you…
Geet:- When you know everything why did you hire me???? (He gave her a look and she huffed, looking away) Yeah, I know I was only hired to type the stupid presentations and notes for you…
Maan:- That’s right… But, this is a professional’s work… So,let me do this…
Geet:- But, am getting bored here…
Maan:- Give me five mints…and I will be done…
She pouted and looked away, concentrating on her phone and the mug at hands, eyeing him to take his mug too and he smiled at her before paying full concentration on his work…
Mr khurrana and Mr Sharma have accidentally met after a longtime…all thanks to their works… So they spotted a nearby Tea House and entered to catch up with each other…Now that they were done talking they thought to leave when passing, Mr Sharma looked at his daughter…
Mr Sharma:- That’s Geet…What is she doing in here… (spotting her with a boy has ruined his mental state and he was abt to dash at her when he heard his friend)
Mr Khurrana:- That’s my Son…Maan…
Mr Sharma:- What??? (He was relieved knowing that and he sighed as the face of a boy came clear now) Ahh!!! Yes… (Shocked, both friends headed to their children…Mr Sharma called her out) Geet…
Geet(looked up at the voice and then got up from her chair):- Daddy….
Maan (too was getting up when he heard his father’s voice):-Ahh…Dad… What a pleasant surprise…
All four looked at each other before Mr Khurrana introduced Maan and Mr Sharma… Maan shook hands with him with a polite smile and then he introduced Geet to his Dad…Here Geet was having an awkward smile… Maan excused himself and left his chair for the men standing in front …Geet too left to aside…Maan grabbed a nearby chair and asked her to be seated…She did…The waiter came in and offered Maan a chair and now, all four were seated looking at each other…
Mr sharma:- What are you doing in here???
Geet:- Am working…
Mr sharma:- Sitting in a Tea House, you are working??? (He taunted)
Geet:- This is an accidental meeting …See, we got papers allover here…. (She pointed to the papers and then whispered)You didn’t even call me once…
Mr Sharma:- I was angry…Am still angry…But you left the house, to see this guy…
He taunted again and Mr Khurrana was the only one clueless of the talks going on…Geet was abt to retort back when Maan intervened…
Maan:- Am sorry to interrupt…We just know each other from a month now…And she is working for me …prepares presentations for me that’s it…She just didn’t want to marry the guy you chose …I think, you consider her wish too before selecting a life partner for her….After all its her life…
Mr Sharma:- Do you even know who the guy was??? (He ignored Maan’s explanation)
Mr Khurrana (was getting a hint from the convo going on):-Maan don’t interfere…Sorry Sharma....
Mr Sharma(looked back at his daughter):- If you wanted to date this man…Then you at least had seen the photo that I sent you on your phone… But, no…You just deleted in front of me… without opening that one… Do you know, I was only THINKING on getting you married but you thought I WAS getting you married… I haven’t even talked with that family abt the alliance and there you just ran away… Only to run into the guy I chose for you…
All three heads turned to Mr Sharma as all heard so…Then Maaneet looked at each other… Geet’s head fell hearing so and her Dad took his phone out and showed her the pic…Maan’s pic…which he has sent her a month back…And she closed her eyes…
Mr Sharma:- You really are a dumb and stupid girl…
Mr Khurrana:- Sharma, you are embarrassing them both…Now that we know they are into each other, why don’t we seal this proposal here??? I hope you both don’t offend ???
Maan:- Dad you are overthinking…Its not ...
Mr Khurrana:- But, I see no harm in thinking so??? (Maan was rendered mum) I like her as my DIL… Sharma, I think we must leave the youngsters alone…
Mr Shamra:- So, is that a yes from you both???
Mr Khurrana(saw both avoiding looking into anyone):- I guess it is… (He smiled and whispered to Maan) Take care of each other… (With that he winked at Maan and the fathers then stood to go leaving an embarrassing situation there)
Maaneet didn’t look into each other’s eyes for a couple of mints..And when the silence was turning heavy…Maan just sighed and decided to go…Geet only nodded at him… They waited for the bills to be cleared and just then there started to rain… All the silence…all the embarrassment…and all the nervousness was gone, Geet was back to herself.. in an instant…
Geet:- Wow…Barish….. Maan lets go…
He couldn’t even respond back as she has grabbed his arm,tagging him along with herself and soaking in rain water… She twirled and laughed like a little girl and Maan couldn’t say anything just look at her from far…But, Geet wasn’t satisfied with him standing and watching her…so she pulled him again and made him dance with her…She was abt to trip when she found his arms snacking her around…securing her form in his...
Maan:- Relax Geet, why are you over excited???
Geet(tried to regain her calmness back):- Am watching this rain after so long…Can’t stop myself…Isn't this beautiful...
Maan(looked into her eyes for a few secs, making hers captivated in his before he voiced):- Do we like each other…
It wasn’t a question and Geet looked away, breaking the eye contact…trying to distance herself from him…But he didn’t let her… as he was lost in her ….and Geet came up with some answer…
Geet:- I guess not that way…
Maan:- How abt we start thinking that way…. Now that our alliance is fixed…and we didn’t oppose so our fathers are going to take that a yes…
Geet(bit her lips, trying to joke):- You can’t be serious…
Maan(‘s stern and straight reply came):- I am….
Geet:- Let go of me… (To her sudden words, he left her…thinking he made her feel uneasy)
Maan:- Am sorry…
And he then realized she was wet….Her dress sticking to her body..and they needed to find a shelter before going and running into their building… He grabbed her hand and made her follow him…and she complied …They found a temporary shelter..Geet turned her back to him…He took his coat out…and draped that around her body…taking her in his arms…gluing her body to his…She looked up at him…as he whispered certain words near her ears…
Maan:- Am still waiting for your answer….
Geet:- Do I need to say my answer…(She asked more like pleading not to ask her)
Maan:- Yes… (He smiled at her when she pouted at his stubborn yes)
Geet(turned in his arms):- I….(She looked for some words but she couldn’t say a single word after that)
Maan: I like you too… (Geet looked up at his eyes as he completed the words…and she smiled looking at him)
Geet:- I wasn’t going to say that… (smirked saying so)
Maan:- Achaa…. Then??? (He played along; he knew she was teasing him)
Geet:- But its good to hear that you like me…
Maan smiled at her mischief before she burst into laughter as Maan engulfed her in a hug…knowing she wasn’t going to confess in words but gestures…And he was fine with that…

Hey all…
Ahh!!! That was sorta cutie love story as I read this after couple of months…Since had typed it nearly over a yr now….Sigh….Anyways how is everyone doing??? Hope well… Am good here as well, just too much busy and tired with the work load…Realizing coming back in here after like 2.5 months…Ehhh!!!! Time really flies…Abt all those requests to come back and finish all works… Trust me, I badly want to be back in here…its another thing I can’t manage lot of places at a time, already am fully occupied in personal and professional works… you never know, once in awhile I may drop an update here and there but no promises…Also I got to know wattpad again has stopped working for me…😭So, RM 1 and HH are kinda halted,don’t know how to continue them elsewhere…I might wait for wattpad to come back in my area..then start posting and end those two works… Till then, TC of yourself and your loved ones…and don’t forget me in your prayers… See yaa all…
