Chapter 6

The first step is always the hardest but,

once you take your first step, things will get easier from then on

Things were never easy in life for Ridhima. She struggled so much to be what she is today. Every moment was hard for her. However, she cried, laughed, fall, rise, underwent pain - every moment made her what she is today. She is happy that she endured so much because that's what shaped her into the person she is today.

Ridhima stood in the room allotted for Ragini to side and watching the whole drama. She can say none were happy to see Ragini back. She is checking on Vansh and she chuckled sadly in her mind seeing his facial expressions. He is unable to control those emotions right now. One can say he wants to hold Ragini and speak to her but stopping himself doing it.

To say it doesn't matter to her to see her husband Vansh the man she is in love with have such feelings for another woman because now she knows he was playing with her own feelings and never truly loved her would be one big lie. It does matters and it does hurts. (thought Riddhima sadly) Agreed she knows he is playing with her and does not return her feelings and is pretending but this heart this stupid heart of hers which longs for him and his affections how do you explain to it? But no this not the time to let her emotions weaken her resolve to teach him a lesson. (she thought determined)

Having a look once again at Vansh and her surroundings. She felt a need to take this as an opportunity and says,

Vansh, I feel at this time it is you who needs to be strong. I understand since three years you are protecting her from an unknown enemy. Though she betrayed you, you are showering her with care. Once she opens her eyes, she would search for you. Therefore, you should be here with her.

Dadi and the rest are shocked hearing Ridhima. Dadi was the first one to ask

Ridhima, I understand your concern dear, but still, now you are married to him. Asking him to shower care on her is not a good thing.

Ridhima: Dadi, I'm saying what he did until now. If he didn't care for her why he would protect her until today? Also, Dadi I know the pain of losing someone special and I don't want Vansh to go through the same pain. So let him be with Ragini nothing else as a human he should take care of her as he has been doing till now. You all should be proud of him that the girl who betrayed him he still took care of her. That itself says how big of a heart he has got and I am so proud of him said Riddhima with a smile.

Vansh was observing her every moment and checking her. When she asked him to stay with Ragini, he felt she is making him look like a bad person before Dadi but then the way she praised he felt a sense of achievement and felt proud of himself. He did not know what to make out of it then she goes ahead and says things like right now when she said she knows the pain, what pain she is talking about? Is it about Kabir? Kabir is her past while I'm her present. So whom she lost? Why this girl brings troubles most of the times in the form of confusions and questions, either it would be her words or actions and says

Ridhima, enough now. I know how to handle things. Don't just put your thoughts into other's people heads.

Dadi gets angry listening to Vansh words for Ridhima. Dadi knows what turmoil Ridhima was going through and supports her by saying

Vansh, enough. First, you did wrong. You have hidden Ragini from all of us. Until today we thought she is dead. You hiding her from the family members and me especially is your mistake. Being a wife it's not easy to support owns husband's ex-love. Yet, she is doing this for you. If you want to protect Ragini, do it. However, I don't want her near you and this family. Hire a nurse who can treat her.

Ridhima: Dadi if you agree can I take responsibility of Ragini and look after her if you don't want Vansh to be near her I can take care of her and a nurse would always be their dadi but in this condition, she needs care from a family and friends agreed she did wrong in the past but in this condition leaving her alone. After she recovers you can question her or punish as you wish you can do but till she recovers.,

Dadi: Alright Riddhima if that's what you want you and Vansh can take care of her. But after that I want her gone.

Vansh can see here what Ridhima is planning. Since day one she always created troubles in VR Mansion. Dadi who never said anything to him, right now teaching him the principles of love and all. What will happen to Dadi when Ridhima's truth will come out? She was in love with Kabir before meeting me and then fell in love with me? She neither was loyal to Kabir nor me.

Wait, what the hell I'm thinking? Why I want her to be loyal to me? Isn't my plan to make sure she pays for Kabir deeds. Isn't it's me who is showering fake love, care and affection on her so that she can reciprocate them? I'm going mad with this girl since her return from the trip. I need to come with a plan to hurt her. But why did she acted like this and made Kabir to get suspended? Did she already break up with him? Need to check with Angre.

Vansh calls Angre into the office room and closes the door. What he does not know is the fact that Ridhima has inserted a camera in there when everyone was busy with Ragini stuff.

Flashback scene:-

Ridhima enters into the Vansh office room while speaking to someone. She says to the person right now she is in front of the camera which Vansh has implanted to check on others. The other person says 'Job done'. She goes near another side of the room and sets a small camera on the above portrait of butterfly which makes sure to give a view of the whole room as well as minute details in file and can hear the audio too. Ridhima is happy to complete her work. She says thanks to the person on the call for helping with tech stuff.

Flashback end

Ridhima can immediately hear Vansh is speaking with Angre due to the ear pod she wore and switch on her phone to see what they are discussing regarding?

Vansh: Did Kabir and Ridhima broke up?

Angre: Bhai, I don't think so

Vansh: Think so, Angre. That is not what I wanted to hear from you. Ever since you married Ishani, you are not concentrating on the work I give you.

Angre: Bhai, I

Vansh: I need to know the relationship status of Kabir and Ridhima in an hour.

Angre: What we need to do with Aryan? We just left him and came to check on Ragini.

Vansh: I didn't leave him. He needs to answer me besides that is something that will be taken care of right now.

Ridhima hears everything and thought thank god before she could break up with Kabir she got to know of both their realities and now could plan accordingly had she broken up and cleared things with Kabir already and if Vansh learned about her breakup with Kabir, what might have happened? More or less he would have made sure to break up with her. But before leaving him, she wants to teach him a lesson for which she needs to maintain the relation with Kabir for a little longer. She knows what she needs to do now.

Vansh reaches to the main hall and calls Aryan. This moment everyone was expecting to happen soon in the house. Rudra comes to stand before Vansh but, Vansh stops him with his hand.

Vansh: I don't want to know anything. Just one question and I want a clear answer. Why?

Aryan: Bhai, I

Vansh: Why?

Aryan: I, want to

Vansh: I always covered up for you. I always had your back. Then why did you backstabbed me?

Aryan was losing his temper but, he sees Rudra signalling him to not say anything.

Vansh: You have no reply. Therefore, I should kill you.

Chanchal Chachi comes and falls on Vansh's foot and begs for Aryan's life. Aryan couldn't see his mother like that and says

Because I hate you. Happy. I hate you.

Vansh knew since they were kids Aryan hated him. For whatever reasons. He did always hated him. However, he never expressed it. Today hearing it out loud, he felt something broke inside him. Yet, he covered his expressions saying,

Interesting, Very Interesting.

Aryan: Interesting, isn't it? I knew you would say that Vansh. I'm also the son of this house then why don't I get the respect which you get?

Vansh: Respect should be earned!

Aryan: Oh really? Do you? Well hello, wake up call none in this house respects you. You rule with the fear you insert in people's mind and hearts. Do you remember what Ridhima said once, "People betray you because of the fear you have implanted in them? They hurt you because you are merciless. You don't ask for the reasons. You see what you want to see and hear what you like and do in your way." Did you ever ask me what I like? No. Did you ever give me a responsibility to handle? I agree I committed mistakes nonetheless what you did? Did you not ever do any blunder ever Mr Vansh Rai Singhania?

I might have given you losses in the business, then at that moment why didn't you stood beside me and explained things to me and guided what to do? You always ordered. You have never been a brother whom I wanted. You were a brother for Ishani and Sia. But for me, you are just a cousin. A cousin living under the same roof because we share the same blood and same Dadi. Dadi dies - relationship dies. So better Dadi die

The moment he said those words someone slapped him very hard. Aryan never felt so much of pain furthermore he wants to strangle who did this and raises his hand but again gets another slap from the same person.

Aryan: How dare you?

Ridhima: How dare I? How dare you Aryan? How dare you utter such words for Dadi? Do you even realise what you have said?

Aryan: Don't interfere in between Ridhima. This is all because of you.

Ridhima: Me? Are you sure Aryan? What did I do?

Aryan: You are the cause of everything.

Ridhima: Aryan, are you going insane? A few minutes ago you said all of this because of Vansh and now you are blaming me. Do you know what your problem is? Your ego!

Yes, Aryan. I rejected you on the cruise. Later you tried to get me on your bed, then I slapped you. Later, you were the one who said Vansh had killed Ragini and instigated me to search for the reasons. You have hurt me on Dussehra too for this chip when I trusted my Vansh. I heard what my heart said. He cannot kill someone and see it got proved. He didn't kill Ragini. It is all you who did it.

Tell me one thing Aryan, you said Vansh didn't trust you enough? I agree he might not be the brother you wanted but are you the brother which he needed? Agree, he made mistakes, did you corrected them? Agree, he never stood beside you. Did you ever stand beside him? Agree, he didn't take the first step towards you, then why you didn't initiate that step?

Aryan, we can only clap when two hands meet each other. If he is wrong, so are you. Vansh is wrong for not trusting you enough. But did you shower him with your belief on him?

I'm not here to educate you on the relationship between your brother and you. I'm here to say never think only you are right. From my own personal experience I'm saying you this, understand others before judging them. I did once the same mistake. I have seen that person with the eyes of others and tried to sabotage him. Today I feel wrong for doing it. Coming to the relation I and you share, since the day one you have always seen me as a girl who you want to share a bed with. Not as a girl who can become a friend. A friend whom you truly needs in your life. Not those who would come and go with the riches you uphold.

Everyone stood in silence. Even Vansh can hear his heartbeats. Every word Ridhima spoke made him realise where he stands in her heart. He is felt so happy to see the way she understands him, that none ever did. Why he is feeling this way weird he hasn't felt this way before ever wondered Vansh. Anyways he cannot give in to these unknown emotions because he cannot risk losing his love Ragini by bothering with this girl. But, he was glad that he is succeeding in his mission of trapping Ridhima in his love.

Dadi is the first one to engulf Ridhima in a big hug. She had tears running down all over her face. Showering Ridhima with kisses she said

I'm so happy. I'm not saying others are wrong and you're right. But the way you handled the situation, I feel so proud of you. I'm glad you are my Vansh's wife.

She turns towards Aryan and says,

I'm sorry.

None had expected Dadi to say those words and the first one to react was Aryan himself by saying!

Don't say sorry, Dadi

Dadi: No, Aryan. Ridhima is right. I'm the one who always supported Vansh and never took interest in your likes and dislikes. If you committed any slip-ups, I was angry with you but never appreciated the good you did. I'm sorry.

Vansh, I know Aryan committed a big mistake. A grave mistake, indeed. But, for my sake, please forgive him. Howbeit, as even Ridhima said do try to mend your ways with him. So, be the elder brother he needs so that he can be the younger brother whom you can lean on. I know relations are not built in a day it takes time. Hence let's take slow steps. It might be harder initially but, later it will turn less hard and then slowly easy for both of you.

Vansh: This would be the last chance which I give you while you offer your loyalty for me too. I will make sure to be the brother you wanted; in return, I ask for your loyalty.

Aryan: Loyalty - can be gifted to the person whom he entrusts on.

Everyone understood what he meant. He needs trust from Vansh to gain his loyalty. While rest leave the hall, Dadi says thank you to Ridhima but, Ridhima pushes her credit on Ragini's head while Vansh hears it.

Ridhima: Dadi, it is not just because of me. It's also because of Ragini. She entered this house and see both the brothers who been at loggerheads for all these years, now are at least calming down themselves. It's all through her that all of their pent up complaints came out along with the root cause of it. Let me pray for her well being.

Even before Dadi could say anything, Ridhima leaves the place to puja room. Vansh feels Ridhima is planning something. Why would she bring Ragini into this matter? What is she planning? Is she making Dadi hate Ragini more or feel sorry for her? I need to know the relationship status first to understand her plan better.

Angre: Bhai, It's been more than two months since Ridhima had not been in much of contact with Kabir. However, two months before, on the day Ridhima went camping, she met Kabir.

Vansh: So did they broke up or not?

Angre: I don't think so not yet but possibly very soon. They seem to have some fights and differences.

Vansh: Hmmm. Victory is near Angre. But wait, then why Kabir is okay with all of it. He should be desperate and should be going after her to mend things up with her. He should look at least sad or upset if not broken. Why is he looking okay, Angre?

Angre: Bhai, I think, he is heartbroken and brought cops to arrest you.

Vansh: No, Angre. When he brought cops, it was about me. Not about them. He not even for a second looked like a heartbroken person who is on the verge of losing his love. The way he stared at Ridhima was also different. Angre, try to learn what happened between them. I need to know every minute details of their relationship status. Did they broke or on the verge of breaking up or acting as if they had a break-up.

Ridhima, on the other side, heard everything. Yes, she wanted to make Vansh confuse rather than revealing the truth. Every step she takes towards him should make him more confused about the status she shares with Kabir.

Angre: But, bhai we need work on Mr Randhawa project.

Vansh: I will work with Chachu.

Angre is shocked to hear Vansh would like to work with Rudra on such a prestigious project. I mean working with Randhawas is the dream of Vansh Rai Singhania. Did he entrust himself and the project with those people? He knew since day one Ridhima affected Vansh. He doesn't know what Boss will decide tomorrow but, he can see the aftermath of it.
