Hey VB,

There are two requests:

1. Kindly increase the word limit of reason description in Report feature. Sometimes the issue is big and can't be described in 3 lines, and hence we need more space to explain it properly, when we report a post.

2. Earlier, there was a feature on IndiaForums, to embed a MP3 song in our posts. Is it still working? If yes, can you tell how can we embed a MP3 song? The embedded song used to play while reading the thread/post. ❤️

Regards.

1. This was kept intentionally so that people post brief complaint. However will still discuss with the team on this issue.

2. Regarding MP3 the only issue is that it leads to copyright issues. We can work with SoundCloud will that work?

1. Great. Looking forward to the changes in it.

2. Oh. Okay, SoundCloud is good then.

I just want this feature back, because it just feels amazing whenever you read a thread with a song in background. ❤️

Hello!

I want to know if there is any way to resize an image in the Signature box?

Maybe by adding some code?

I tried the common ones like adding ".jpg?width=200&height=200" to image URL but doesn't seem to function.

Tried 1-2 src codes but they don't work either.

Of course, one can use online resizing tools to resize the image before adding it here but I wanted to know if it is possible directly on IF.

Regards,

Stuti

As of now, there is no direct method to delete all posts and deactivate the account. But you can hide your posts in locked threads (press the three dots icon on top right corner of the comment and you will see the option). In unlocked threads, you can simply edit your post and remove the content.

Yes, you will have to manually do this for each and every post of yours but that's the only way for now.

For deactivation, you can hibernate the account which will hide your User ID. When you have already hidden your posts and then hibernate, it's nearly equal to deleting everything, right? This method allows you to have a chance to come back if required, you can come out of hibernation anytime after 7 days if you wish to. But if you don't come back, it will effectively be like any other deactivated account only.

I hope that helps. 😊

Love,

Stuti

I have over 5000 posts. Hiding and editing every post is tiresome. (I have started though).

Wish there was an option “Delete all your post”.
Part of the coding which is used in banning members (which erases all the posts) could have been used there.

This would have helped members more.

It can be done, there's no doubt for that. But that option is not kept intentionally. And this is a gray zone where I'll not take sides about what is right or wrong.

I understand your perspective when you want to delete your account and remove all your traces from this site. Whatever you have written and posted is your own material and whether to keep it here or not should be in your control.

On the other hand, I also understand why they don't want to keep it as simple as deleting an account. Because others have interacted with you on a thread, it would be unfair if your posts are suddenly removed from in between and the conversation starts having gaps. Imagine if you come across some old thread where an interesting debate is going on and you see posts missing from here and there. It will be so disjointed.

Which is why I feel that allowing us to hide and edit comments is a decent midway solution to this. If someone is really so desperate to remove all their comments and traces from this site, they gonna work for it. Otherwise simply hibernate and leave. I personally feel it's a good middle path :)

Love,

Stuti

I am having an issue with the PMs. I need to sent PM to at least 48 people at a time. But I am able to sent it to 20 people at a time. So I have to send the same PM details in groups of 3. I was told that we can send at least 50 people at a time. I am not sure what is the issue. Also I would like to post a suggestions regarding the same.

Many a times I have to send a common PM to a fixed set of people weekly or monthly. Like when we update a chapter or a general notification. I have to every time add all the members one by one. So if we can have a feature like groups in inbox where I can just select a fixed group of people and the mail will be sent to all of them instead of adding each member one by one every time.
