Exactly, she has same stale expressions all the time. I mean Veeranshu sanki hai, hum nahi. 3 mahine se ek hi type ke expressions dekh ke bore ho gayi hu main, and irritated bhi. Either she is catty, or she is angry, or she is throwing attitude.

When she is quiet and Veeranshu does the talking like their date hug, or when she is scared and crying when she jumped off the window, or when Veeranshu stumbled and fell and there was a slight welling up in her eyes, those expressions were good.

Surbhi looks much better when she is emotional as Bani, and she is vicious as Adi Naagin, like in the Teer murder episode. Otherwise, she is plain dull and boring, because the other expressions are the standard ones.

Bani ke comparison mein even Brinda seems to be so much better. There's a vast difference between the previous Naagins & this Adi Naagin - as you've said it, she doesn't make us root for her instead gets on our nerves. This major disconnect could be one reason why the tv ratings aren't as impressive as the online ratings.

In earlier seasons, Naagin ko apne maqsad aur dushman dono ka pata tha, and they were genuinely wretched, unke liye kuch feel nahi hota tha, woh jiye ya mare. Lekin iss season me, Naagin ka maqsad hi thakela hai. Pichle janam ka badla, jo pichle janam me pura ho chuka hai. Iss janam ka badla jo ab tak shuru bhi nahi hua. Uske upar uske dushman, usse jyaada entertaining hai, jinko dekh kar achcha lagta hai, chaahe woh kitne bhi haraamzaade ho. Naagin ko pata tha uske dushman kaun the, and her husband was just a medium to finish them off. Naagin used to hunt. What does a hunt mean? Observing the enemy, exploring the territory, seeking out the weak links, and then eliminate. Aur yahaan Adi Naagin ko aadhe se jyaada dushmano ka pata nahi, unke saath kuch karna to dur, she is stuck on trying to figure out whether this husband is her biggest enemy who should be eliminated or someone whose love for her is so genuine that she should give in to it.

Bani is a weak character and a dull Adi Naagin, who can be easily duped and manipulated, who can be pushed around by anyone, who blabbers unnecessary bullcrap, who is confused as to what she is looking for, who has done nothing Naaginworthy except crawling, who killed only 2 cheels once, and that too looked very dull. She is vicious, she has power, but overall she is a useless character to invest in, or feel for, or root for. We cannot trust her to do anything, is what she has built in us for the character so far - neither love, nor enmity, nor sharpness, nothing.
