But again, the issue is that Alia has a whole factory of people pushing and forcing her into projects, getting projects made for her, projects being snatched from others. Her winning awards for Gully Boy is proof of that. Never has an actress won the main award for the supporting role.

Sara Ali Khan also asked Rohit shetty work..... but no one is complaining about it. Ayushman also asks for work. Shraddha was recommended by Varun for ABCD. So we all know they have access and privileges

But what they’re doing for Alia is a completely different thing, that needs to be called out and dragged down.

If Shraddha had as much support as Alia she’d probably reach extreme levels of super stardom. Kind of like what happened to Deepika with Cocktail

Actors aren't generally getting good projects based off reviews. Film offers come with box office success and popularity (which SOTY and Dhadak both had). In fact, Shraddha's first two films were commercial failures yet she got a prime project like Aashiqui 2. This is just selective outrage at this point.

Besides, if Karan likes someone and wants to invest in them, why can he not? If people felt so strongly against Alia, then why did they watch so many of her films post SOTY? What are you going to say tomorrow if people love GS despite all this nepotism discussion?

Alia, Janhvi, etc all of these actors are privileged but so are Shraddha, Hrithik, whoever else you want to name. Fact is people knew that and still went to watch their films.

Look I have already agreed with you that she is a product of nepotism. You can also be somewhat objective and say that her success isnt completely curated. Secondly she struggled a lot of after her first two films flopped. She went through whole stress with the Yash Raj contracts similar to the way Sushant did with Paani. Again she heavily hinted that they let her go. When Karan asked about breaking the contract? She state lets not get into the nitty gritty of who broke which contract. Just the fact that "Love Ka the End" released in beginning of 2011. And Aashiqui 2 released 2013 you can tell there must have been some struggles in between.

Also Mohit Suri wasn't exactly the successful director that everyone wanted to work with at the time. Imtiaz Ali def was around the time of Highway. Aashiqui 2 ended working because of ARK's performance and the magical chemistry Aditya and Shraddha ended up having on screen. Beyond that it was a good story about unconditional blind love. They were dating offscreen and the chemistry was def captured by the camera. After that she fed herself by doing flowerpot roles like Katrina. How many pretty girls were there left after Kat was no longer in her prime? It took a while for the Disha's and Tara's to arrive. But IMO face wise Shraddha is still the most beautiful. Her bambi eyes alone strike them out. I would even go as far to say she is prettier than Tripti.

That being said people didn't go to watch her movies because someone behind scenes was making sure she got the best script, with the best directors, with the best roles. I will see if I want to watch Gunjan Saxena. If I see people overhyping the performance as Merly Streep level and it was just good for a new comes than I will be sure Karan is at it again. But again I am even not sure if I want to watch another Shraddha film. Even though I like her as a person.
