Either Jaas thinks she is too good of a lair, or she genuinely feels what she is feeling. Either of it is not right.
Did it with Ajaaz and doing it with Rahul.
Purely speaking from a psychological perspective, I think her past traumas associated with relationship/men or childhood traumas of abuse or assualt have played heavily into this incident. Up until the bit where she requested Salman to ask others not to bully her now that she's proven wrong while breaking down, I realised that she's convinced in her mind that what she's experienced was legitimate and real. That was the moment I felt really bad for her because this is what traumas can potentially do to a person.
Rubina was speaking from this perspective too when asked to explain and she wasn't wrong there. However, this woman's approach and reasons for doing things have always been misplaced and phoney which is what falls flat half the time.
Although, if you take everything into account, Jas clearly and conveniently took everything too far without giving the incident and her understanding of it a benefit of doubt. So, while this would have required a blunt and sharp calling out, I think all things considered, the approach Salman took was appropriate, whether he was asked to or he chose to do it personally.
