The Roy Choudhury Mansion was unusually quite today for the queen of the house was resting. She wasn't someone who rested often and loved to be on her foot, doing something or the other but today was a different day. Mrs. Bondita Roy Choudhury was unwell. That was some news. The servants and the residents were running errands to get the roshni of the house back to normal and Bondita was enjoying the attention that she was getting. "Mujhse sewa karwa ke bahut maza aa raha na tumhein Boudi?" Batuk said, as he changed the cloth on her forehead, as directed by Kaka. She chuckled and nodded her head in affirmation. "Pati Babu kab aayenge?" She asked, sadly. The last when Aniruddh went to Calcutta, they had a small fight and he had said he won't talk to her. "Dada ka kaam kal tak khatam ho jaayega toh dekho shayad parson tak aa jaayein." Batuk said as he kept damp cloth on her forehead. He did notice his Boudi getting sad but he couldn't help. "Bondita!" Aniruddh said, as soon as he opened the door of her room. Batuk was shocked to see his brother there, already, but Bondita had a smile on her face, a sad smile, for some reason. "Dada aap itni jaldi kaise?" Batuk asked. "Kaka ka phone aaya tha ki Bondita bimaar hai toh main pehli train se aa gaya." He said, while his eyes were still fixed at Bondita. Over the years, he had seen her cry, dance, jump, laugh and what not but it was for the first time she was sick, visibly sick. She seemed to have already lost a lot of weight or perhaps he was in delusion. Bondita turned her face and thought of his words, he said the last time. Batuk, sensing the tension, went away, leaving the two of them to sort their fight out. "Bondita, meri taraf dekhogi bhi nahi?" Aniruddh asked, sadly. She just nodded her head. "Kyun?" He asked, hurt. Silence. "Please baat kar lo mujhse." He said, holding her hand. She looked at him. He was ashamed of his words. She got up with all the might in her body and sat. "Kya kar rahi ho tum, baith kyun gayi?" He said, concern written all over his face. She shifted a bit towards him and hugged him. "Maine aapko bahut miss kiya." She said. "Maine bhi." Aniruddh said and hugged her back. "Sorry." Both of them said it at the same time and chuckled. They broked the hug and Aniruddh helped Bondita lie on the bed and he tucked her in. "Jaldi se theek ho jao tum. Get well soon." He said and kissed on her forehead. Love heals you so quickly and so much better.
