I wonder how Gujju ppl feel about being caricaturized like this😆.......what a pity. Ek taraf they have so much rich literature and cultural legacy like we can see in a show like Gulaal....and dusri taraf yeh RASODA puraan.

Yeh sab bakwaas dekh ke toh baadhaas, drag, and clueless Radha wala RK bhi oscar-worthy lagta hai😆.....atleast spirituality toh dikhaate hain wahaan and more or less still try to present the beauty in the cultural history of the country.

I am a gujju🤣 but the only 3 scenes I have watched from the show are laptop, rasode and after that saabun ka jhaag😆 I was so pleasantly surprised with the authentic depiction of the culture of that particular region in Gualaal. I absolutely love it❤️ Baaki I guess in shows and movies its mostly caricaturized🤔

Oh aap bhi Gujju?😆 Phir toh extra connection feel ho raha hoga Gulaal se aapko😆

The thing about Gulaal was that most of the cast itself was Gujju actors so that added to the authenticity of the dialect and vibe too....baaki they seem to have a lot of robust storytelling talent in the heartland that sadly isn't harnessed correctly. This is one of the rare shows that did.

Re: RK....lol haan fanfiction toh hai but as I'm rewatching it, I'm struck again by the fact ki it was mostly a simple story....Krishna as the "guide" and Radha as the "student" who has to keep on learning😆....along the way many other ppl keep learning lessons too. Chaahe drag and repetitive tha but fundamentally atleast the idea was good na.....ki teach good/positive things rather than doing full epis on rasoda crap ya cheap melodramatic saas bahu crap.

I guess it has a bit of an Amar Chitra Katha feel that makes me a bit nostalgic for the simplicity of childhood too😆.....aajkal woh vibe bhi missing hai most stories mein.

Finished ATA ka epi 5.

Veer-Rani ka scene was good....I like that they converse so far and aren't reliant on random empty staring sessions with lehraaoing dupatta.....proper conversations hoti hain and he doesn't try to dismiss her all the time....concern bhi dikhaata hai on a human level rather than being instantly sappy. The girl has pleasantly surprised me so far by being a better than expected actress.

Baaki Ramu Kaka ka melodrama is where my patience is giving up, sorry😆.....all this dragged on drama over RS playing mind games and I guess iska woh khareeda hua inspector sab milke Ramu ko phasaa rahe hain and are blackmailing him over something to take the ilzaam.

Did this guy seriously lie toh is daughter even after she gave him her kasam? LOL

I appreciate Rani's grit in not giving up but this Ramu Kaka ka rondu melodrama is irritating me now.

Ji haa 😛 Yes it feels more special, because the makers mostly get it wrong with those horrible accents and loud characters😆

I noticed that most of the cast is Gujju, but makers did a good job representing it in such a fabulous way. Ofcourse director being a gujju also helps.

I don’t know if you ever have watched a gujju movie😆 but if you get a chance try watching Hellaro. Its based on a folklore and is worth watching.

It is simply not comparable to rasoda crap😆 I liked it for the same reason. For the most part they kept the essence of Krishna intact. It was about conquering inner weakness and fears. That is a reason whenever something interesting came I still watched and ignored the rest😆

Oh wow, what a lovely trailer! Yeh bhi wohi Gulaal wala Kathiawaadi feel hai, no?😆....but I loved the concept....seems very interesting. Is this available with subtitles anywhere?

Yes, you're right that they kept the essence of Krishna intact which still makes the show worth visiting on and off even if the rest of the story is kinda haywire now. The way they presented Krishna in this show just had way more layers....the oscillating between child-like mischief, then the mature soft tone when trying to explain jeevan ka saar....then switching into Narayan mode....then all the disguises - his Gopadevi wala roop🤣....I enjoyed that one even more on a rewatch.

The early epis were the best, no doubt cuz of Krishna and his mind games with confused Radha😆 and the lovely music ❤️......but even the epis after the baadha stuff starts feel more watchable when you revisit them now.....oh Daau toh was just too cute😆. It really helped that Sumedh-Basant were just so natural together in those roles....even now, I watched one of the recent epis in this Dwarka phase and Dau has kids now😆 who call Krishna "Kaka"😆...but even then, the cute mischievous vibe b/w the brothers is maintained....so that's nice.

This reminds me that Daau in his Baldevi roop was 🤣....their adventures have been memorable, I must say😆

Waise I read somewhere ki they finally managed to reform Ayan....lol I'm yet to watch that epi though😆....

I realize as I rewatch old shows that it's so much nicer and easier to watch stuff when you don't watch it in real time with expectations😆....as Krishna would say, "Apekshaaon se upar utho"😆.

Oh they did a lot of teoll.of their styling so many times and it used to be fun but woh shivani shirali hi kya jo samjh jaaye🤣 and dhang ke kapde banaya. Lol isko dhoonde huye I landed on atrocious outfits thread and it was aonmuch fun rereading it and seeing the compilation of some of the most atrocious ones🤣

I do think it was available on prime but now its not showing🤔 I will try and see if I can find a link with subtitles.
It does have Gulaal wali feel as this one is based in Kutchh. Also the desert background and clothes give Gulaal like feels.
The literal meaning of the word Hellaro means an outburst, it is really an outburst of emotions mainly through dance. The climax scene is just brilliantly shot and gives you goosebumps. That scene makes the movie stay with you even after you finish watching it.

Sumedh really kept it interesting. I love his voice and the modulations he brings with it. Gopadevi🤣🤣 He looked so beautiful in it🤣 He was always upto something and getting someone or the other in trouble😆

Music was so soothing and lovely. The title song and also the ones they made for the show felt divine❤️ While I am reading I have this smile thinking about Krishna and the exasperated Radha and Daau 😆 I have not seen Daau in a long time now in the show and lol at kids calling Sumedh kaka 😆 Did they show him recently like past week?

That sikh he gave at the end of the episode was what I waited for. They had such deep meaning and yet sounded relatable.
