Sid in the movie A Gentleman

Has anyone watched A Gentleman? I saw it today and Sid was surprisingly good. I had zero expectations but he really amazed me with his performance. I think he just needs the right director to bring out his acting talent. He was good in Ittefaq as well co-starring Sonakshi, I don't know how many of you have seen that movie, it came and went in a jiffy but Sid was good.

I don't think he's wooden as described here, I think he's just very inhibited on screen and that is his main shortcoming. Otherwise, he's better than Arjun Kapoor, ARK and Varun.

I like Sid, and he is deffo not wooden! I think he is subtle actor

He was good in Ittefaq and A Gentleman, also liked him in Baar Baar Dekho (i liked the movie)

I also think he suits the angry young man role, like in Ek Villain and Marjaavaan. So i like to see more of that.

Sid's performance in Brothers is highly underrated! Not sure why he doesn't get enough credit for his acting in that film....he did very well! Definitely one of his career best performances, and maybe even his best performance.

Also, even though Brothers flopped at the Indian box office, there seem to be many (perhaps outside of India) that liked the film (including me), as the IMDB rating of the film stands at 6.5/10 from 11,000+ votes!

Personally I would like to if there is any actor who is subtle who Indian audience doesn't consider wooden. I don't love his acting but I also don't mind it. He does his roles well and he was really great in K&S. I liked him a lot in A Gentleman too. I know the movie had horrible reviews but I watched it in theater once and then watched it with my friends again later. I had no problem with it. I found both his acting and the movie enjoyable for what it is meant to be.

This movie was boring!

He is average, not good, but not as bad as he's made out to be. Unfortunately, any actor who doesn't dial up emotion to nonsense range is considered wooden in Bollywood.

He is horrible to put mildly no expression whatsoever. I don't see why he is still getting work

He's an okay actor at best. Khair acting ko toh koi waise bhi puchta hain nahi Bollywood mein. His biggest problem is that he has no screen presence at all.

But you don't even notice him in these songs as your eyes are completely on Katrina and Alia the whole time. He merges behind with the background dancers. That's how bad his screen presence is.

He only needs better films and directors and good promotions, they never promote his movies well nd they change his movies release dates a lot . Despite everything he has a big fan following.
