The show is getting back on track.....I think

After watching the last 2 promos I feel like the show is turning back into the show I signed up for. A Period Drama that highlights the atrocities that women during that time faced (with some evils still prevalent) and how one man dreams of making the society a better place for women to live in.

I know a lot of people will be wary about the Heera Mandi Brothel track since Bondita/Aurra is very young. But I think the creatives are going to handle this well just as they handled the marriage to the old man and sati track by making Bondita unconscious and protecting little Bondita from the trauma. Who knows how many young girls and women in the past have gone through these same evils of being forced to marry old men or going through sati while being conscious the entire time. I can't even bear to imagine the fear and sufferings they actually went through. In this track I feel Rasiya will be the one who will protect and shield Bondita like a mother hen until Anirudh finds her. Through Bondita they will bring to light the plight of the women in brothels as well as the evils going on there.

One complaint I have is regarding the way Mini and her family are behaving. It is supposed to be a show of the 1920's but their part seems more like the 2020's. I mean which girl during that period would always be at a neighbour's house where there was not even a single lady? Which father and grandmother would leave their daughter alone in the house and expect the neighbours to care for her in times of trouble? Even parents nowadays are more protective than Mini's father and Dida. And how come no one in Tulsipur was talking when the married neighbour would spend hours taking care of the girl, taking her to doctors alone, ballroom dancing with her etc etc? Most rich girls during that time had companions who were girls. Why does Anirudh have to marry Mini to take her to London? If the family couldn't go they could have given Koeli a few new sarees and sent her along with Mini and Anirudh or they could have sent another female companion. They are so rich I'm sure they could have found a companion for her. Why couldn't Anirudh argue like that? Sometimes I feel that Anirudh's brain is like a dormant volcano. Most of the time it is asleep and one day it will suddenly erupt destroying everything in the way just as he destroyed the fear that caused Bondita's bed wetting, and then it will go back to sleep. It's high time his brain wakes up and connects the dots and realises the truth about Mini's fake drama. There are enough clues, all he needs to do is use his Barrister brain.

I'm not sure what they wanted to show through the Mini blindness drama. It was not even required for the Brijwasi track and catching Bondita red-handed. Binoy single handedly masterminded the whole thing and Mini's drama was not even required. All Binoy needed to do was keep a peacock feather on Bondita's desk and Anirudh would have still run to Brijwasi. Maybe they wanted to bring up the topic about 2nd marriage. But I don't think it was that impactful as it looks like Anirudh has reached a stage where he doesn't want to marry Mini, more because he will never give Bondita's place to anyone else rather than because polygamy is an evil against women. If they want to show the evils of polygamy they can even use Saurabh and Sampurna effectively. The can show Anirudh and Bondita helping Sampurna and fighting against polygamy as a team. They can show about dowry deaths, female infanticide, widow remarriage etc etc. This show has so much scope. I hope I am not getting my hopes too high.

P.S. the new promo gives me hope that Anirudh has started practicing as a Barrister. It's high time he uses legal means to make a difference in the society rather than just screaming and shouting and giving very impressive but useless speeches.

This is just my opinion. According to me, the separation track was one of the most powerful and impactful separations I have ever seen on Indian Television. I know some words like daag and chehara kabhi mat dikhana were a little too harsh for a kid, but I think they were setting the base for the Heera Mandi and extented separation and guilt track. Everything about those 2 episodes impressed me, right from the phenomenal performances by Pravisht and Aurra to the direction, cinematography, editing, background music etc. Kudos to the entire team.

I always have had huge expectations from this show and would really like to see how they handle this heera mandi track.. fingers crossed

Its just that boni is too sweet, naive n fragile to go thru all this😭 which keeps putting off the audience's mood, but that's how the world had been to the weak especially females.. also this unnecessary minni track keeps irritating all,😡 infact she is not even needed as the show already has such a strong base.

@bold That's true. Bondita is too sweet and innocent. And since we are all so emotionally invested in her it's going to be really difficult for us to watch. Hopefully the makers will handle it properly. I think they will.

@underlined You feel that too right? I'm telling you, I am so exhausted with the useless Mini drama. It doesn't even make sense anymore. Why would anyone want to be with someone who doesn't want to be with them and has openly rejected them so many times. She needs to have some self respect. Look at Bondita, that girl has got dignity. She didn't even beg to be kept in the haveli. I was so proud of her. She is so strong and fearless unlike most Indian Television female leads. She has to be my favourite female lead even though she is so small.

Agree with all the points. The show really seems to be coming on track now. When the promo of separation was released I wasn't sure whether I would like it or not because separation track seemed too dramatic for child marriage. But it is being handled wonderfully. From the time truth of Bondita and BW came out, the episodes have been very emotional and good. Now I actually look forward to watching like before. Finally the focus seems to be back to woman issues, society and Rudhita which I was immensely missing since the end of bed wetting track

I agree this separation track has been really impactful and it is portraying how deep Rudhita bond has developed. I am glad they are bringing the original ARC back and didn't ruin him by him agreeing for the second marriage. Aurra and Pravisht have been phenomenal👏 can't describe how much I am loving their performance.

Regarding Mini and her family, I guess everyone has the same problem. Forget 1920 they would be too modern for even 2020. Like which family supports a girl going behind a married man like this. And they are letting her tainting her reputation like this🤢 and I am not at all happy with the way Mini is portrayed. She lacks basic humanity and has zero self respect. Hope they show her paying for her seeds soon. Her craziness is going overboard now

And I have always felt makers haven't utilized Samrabh properly. They just show lame tracks with regards to them. I agree they could have shown second marriage issue with Samrabh rather than Ani. He anyway doesn't believe in it and he is become very attached to Bondita, so he would never want to give that place to anyone. So this issue was better suited to Samrabh. Even the dowry issue wasn't handled properly. They ultimately showed Sampoo heeding to the demands of her family rather than fighting it. Now even if she reveals it to Ani, its of no use, I mean now his focus will be on Bondita and not dowry at all. So it was really messy they could have shown Sampoo fighting it with the help of Rudhita. There seems to be very lazy writing when it comes to Samrabh. Rather than focusing so much on Mini they could have brought some good story and showed Samrabh. I actually wanted to see a good bonding between Ani-Sampoo and Saurabh-Bondita. And could have explored Ani-Saurabh friendship. ani badly needs a friend in his life.

But still now its going good. Bass I don't want overdose of Mini. This hira mandi track if handled properly could be a very intense and a good one. Hope they don't make it too dark as Bondita/Aurra is a kid. I too have hopes on Rasiya that she will protect Bondita till Anirudh arrives. Also wanna see Anirudh regretting his actions and harsh words

I have the same question. How will he work as his certificate has been destroyed. N i guess Anirudh is himself unaware of that. That's one of the biggest blunders did on the show i feel. N it created a loophole too.

@bold Same here. After the bed wetting track ended my interest started decreasing and after the ballroom dancing episodes I even skipped an episode or two on TV. I just couldn't stand the creepy Ani-Mini scenes. Nowadays I too look forward to the episodes. Even the Ani-Mini scenes have turned hilarious. I only just hope Mini is exposed, atleast to some extent. I can't bear this 2 zimmedari thing anymore

Mini's track is completely unnecessary! i don't know why they keep bumping her in everything? she n her entire family can be clearly cut out from the story & if they want to keep her in anirudh's-bondita's story n in their family then they have to show her with some other boy maybe anirudh's step brother i mean binoy's illegitimate son would be a good choice.

I don't think anirudh is practicing law all of a sudden 😆 he doesn't even have the certificate right now n he will have to submit the papers to start practicing barristri. it's only for the promo shoot he dressed up like that. 😆

That ballroom dance sequence really felt so cringey. And I was even more upset when Bondita saw it but in her innocence couldn't grasp the actual situation. It really felt like they were taking advantage of the fact that Bondita is a kiddo

Glad Ani is getting some reality checks now regarding his 2 zimmedaris. He is facing the consequences of this stupidity. Only this could have brought him out of his lala land

He was extremely harsh with her. Frankly his words were too harsh even for a grown up person m Anirudh really needs to control his anger and listen to people before shouting

@bold- this is so true. Inspite of she being a kid she has immense self respect. Not once did she begged to stay in the Rc mansion not now and not even the last time when kaka was throwing her out. Neither did she take anything from RCs.

I feel Ani never expected her to actually leave. She is someone who has always fought back. He expected her to defend herself or explain something but she left and I am glad she did. Otherwise Ani would never know his importance.

Also I guess the only woman he has known closely is Mini and she has been asked to get out so many times but still she comes back. So he isn't used to seeing a girl like Bondita, it kinda came as a shock to him that she actually left😆
