You can't compromise on the decorum that's needed to live in your parents house when you are 28 and 29. There is dignity in the lifestyle that the Senior Mathur couple lead and they gotta respect that.

The girls can consider moving out and be entitled to the privacy and independence that's needed . That way the messaging and the expectations are very clear.

I agree. This could blow up ANY second

She has been very lucky that every time he has brought her to the Parashar mansion the parents have not been around. She is brazen and uncaring... like an animal in heat

If viveka looses her head, it would be a crude blow to the parents . It's not right for the parents to be walking around their own house , heads bent in shame .

Please please don't do that to them . They have been greatly decent with their daughters

As a parent myself, I would be devastated if my child behaved like Naina....totally irresponsible and callous to the feelings of everyone around

But I would be equally devastated if my other child is a partner to any such wrong doing...Viveka here ...

And sadly here, Anu and Akash would be left questioning themselves as to where they have gone wrong in their upbringing

Sad update at many levels ...

I fully agree Vee to realize that the very thing that has caused them both humiliation as parents, are the thing that excites Naina so much is incredibly sad

She is completely tone deaf

More than devastated Iam outraged that two 28+ year old women are discussing like two giddy teenagers . If this is what they portray as elder sisters, I shudder to think what the teen twins would put their family through 😳

Their parents have been so considerate..least they can do is be discrete.

Why shame your parents especially who have stood by and supported you

Especially Naina I feel has crossed a line

I am slightly uncomfortable with this hooking up sneaking around without realising what damage it can cause to parents and rest of fam

@Anju & Vee

There is a school of thought who will argue with both of you.

They will say the following:

Gimme a break! We are in 2020 for God's sake!!

Casual s-- is more common than you think. Have you been living under a rock? If you dont want to acknowledge it, that doesnt mean its not happening. Kids are doing it and will do it. "Grow up" and learn to accept it.

Of course the girls are thankful for a good upper middle class life style. that doesnt mean they should be asked to suppress their feelings?

Soaps & Pacts

Naina made it home early, so did the twins. The twinsgiggling about how the whole thing looked like the “nightly soaps on Indian TV”

Anubha was taking baby steps in being progressive and casualand open and free with they way she handled her girls

She wasn’t ready to have it all be ridiculed by two teens

She told them off privately in their rooms

“Papa aur maine tuumhe ghar par shorts pehan ne di, cut offblouses pehankar college jaate ho dono, I would appreciate it if you didn’t mockeverything”

“I am jyusttttt joking Maaaa” Karuna groveled

“Nahi, haath hatao” Anu shrugged off the hug

“Ma… I am sorry”

“Papa always tells me to shut u up at home after collegeand make u pierce your nose in typical UP style drape salwar kameez etc. Mainladti rehti hoon unse. Viveka KA DOST hai… mazaak to mat banao?”

“Ma we are sorry” Diya mumbled

“Aur YEH kapde pehankar bahar bilqul mat aana…. I don’t careif you think it looks like a soap” anubha left the door open

The girls exchanged awkward glances and decided to shut up

Akash checked on her in the kitchen

“Kya hua? Twins par chilla kyon rahi ho”

“Weve just given them too much freedom. Naina is so sweetjaldi aayi aaj, mera saara kaam karwaya.”

Akash was proud

“what happened?”

“They mocked me saying it looked like “ladke waale aa rahehain”

Akash’s expression crumpled

“Baat karoon?”

“Nahi, main kar chuki”

Diya busied herself in kissing up

“Ma I don’t have classes after Noon on Friday or Saturdayor Sunday”

“TO?” Anu was still ticked

“Ma… I am thinking I could do something productive”

“WHO to hai…. Veev di can change light bulbs, fix a brokenpipe… get under the sink, repair cracks in concrete”

“Maa… this is not about Di”

“I know…”

“Ma… a friend is applying to Hugo Boss at Emporio Mall

Anu froze in her tracks, rinsing matar

“Umm”

“LET ME APPLY… please don’t tell Papa now”

“Usko nayi Prius chahiye tumhe Mall mein job… what is goingon”

“Ma”

“Hmm”

“PLEEZ I promise I will even wear suits to college whendadi is in town”

“Suit na tum DADI ke liye mat pehno, wear it for respect ofour culture”

“Maaaaaaaaaaa pleeez “ Diya pleaded

“Papa se baat karo directly” she said letting a plate shepulled off a wok drop in frustration as the steam rushed out from the simmeringkoftas

“You are making all this food and you are saying its notlike a soap” Diya was pissed enough to clap her mother back

Abhishek arrived at 8 ish

There was nothing to hate about Abhishek Karmakar. He wassmart, intelligent, well groomed and polite

Akash was practically swooning.

Anubha forced Viveka to hang with him in the living room

Viveka even showered and changed, before he arrived

Karuna was moody and tho she had changed, she refused tobring the appys to the living room

Diya was upset but was putting on a good pretense

Anu found a quiet moment and told Akash

“We should have followed through on the no child pact” shesighed

He laughed out loud

“We were crazy enough to try for a third 10 years afterVeev and Naina”

“Dekh lo” she shook her head

“Main baat karta hoon dono se” he kissed her head and tookthe glasses to the living room

Viveka and him were deep in conversation

He smiled and set the glasses down…

“She is smart and mature… and doesn’t give me grief” henodded

Totally accept what you say Nisha and prudery in today’s day and age is like being a frog in the well !

But I do draw the line on secret meetings under your parents’ roof, specially when they have 100% trust in you and your common sense !

On a lighter note ladies, what about Anil Kapoor and Shefali Shah / Dimple Kapadia for Satyen and Smrita ?!
The ladies can carry off a level of arrogance and sense of entitlement about them.....and Anil Kapoor came to mind after that cruise ship movie where he paired off with Shefali Shah 😊
