1) The Quantity over quality mindset - the tv shows in India are daily in total producing 200+ episodes in a year. One cannot shit loads of good content if they have to telecast something 5 days a week. Why do you think English shows only make one episode per week and have seasons. Even the Pakistani dramas are 1000 times better than the average Indian tv show nowadays. In India, once a serial begins, they just don’t want to end it.
2) Trp system - the rating system itself is flawed. Only 30000 meters are placed in selected cities to measure the calculations that too majority being based in rural areas of the country. That basically means the urban population are excluded. Obviously people from villages or small towns are not going to be interested in new concepts, they are used to the usual masala saas bahu dramas. But urban Indians want to see something new but they are being ignored hence channels/producers are still continuing to make illogical and regressive dramas

3000 meters thing is something an anonymous user said ..has barc confirmed it? Also I don't know but once going through the barc site I noticed they had separate data published for urban and rural viewing... guess its not just rural audience monitored.
I honestly don't know which data does the broadcasters and producers use to decide on things, m sure they must be having more robust data than what we as general audience is subjected to.
Irony is when our fav show is on top , everything is fine , fans start having problem when their show goes down all these things come up ...not specifically talking about this show and fans , happens everytime so...I wonder why broadcasters producers aren't speaking up with so many discrepancies in the system...wouldn't they be more worried , their revenue depends on it in a way lol , khair
I do agree Indian shows need to adopt finite concept , start with a particular point and end at a particular point , if show gets popular bring another season, in a way it can be win win for everyone the story tellers , writers , actors and the audience and fans who can whole heartedly focus on the show and story without worrying much about anything, they would already know show would end at a particular point ...at least we would be saved with the chaos we as fans have to go through...pitting our brains into something we don't really know about...😆
