Jay's family

What I don't understand is that all the members of Jay's family are actors we have previously seen (not sure about chachu) whereas I have not seen most of Veer's family actors (except Balwant and Ponky).

If Veer is the lead then shouldn't he have he have known actors or Jay's entire family is as negative as Jay?
