Haldi - A New Beginning
Yellow signifies Joy and New Beginnings. During the Akash Payal wedding, it was the first time Arnav felt like everything was changing. It was actually changing for good. He felt less angry nowadays. Khushi played a huge role in all these changes.
She was the missing part of Chote. The joy, happiness and childish self. That's why Arnav was all fascinated for her. (All the way more)
Everyone has the naughty adolescent side hidden in themselves. Some choose to keep it alive and some shove it deep down. Arnav was done being reserved and this time he chose to unleash the hidden child within himself.
Standing there at the door he saw Khushi laugh like anything. The feeling that some girl is laughing at you didn't anger him anymore. A little irritated he felt kind of a stupid, for being present in this situation. Why did his Di had to put the haldi on him?
"Now this Khushi Kumari Gupta is standing there and laughing like a anything at me" he would have thought.
When Arnav's "hasna bandh karo" didn't stop her, he used his ASR brain. Handing over the shagun basket to her, Arnav bends down to catch hold of her dupatta. Holding the soft chiffon in his fingers, he wipes off the haldi from his face taking his own time.
Khushi just had the fake anger on her face. Deep inside her dhak dhak didn't leave a chance to creep in. She still made a grumpy face to which Arnav just replies "see ab hasi bandh ho gayi".
Well everyone wants to feel like the alpha in an awkward situation. That's what Arnav was going through at the moment. To make her feel a little more shy, he reminds her of the "kissing challenge". NK interrupts the moment!
There were so many Cupid dupatta scenes between Arshi....
- When they meet the first time, he steps on her veil
- When she started to work for AR, he rips the dupatta just because it was stuck in the car mirror
- When they are stuck in the store room and the wind plays it's game
- When she jumps out of his wardrobe to run and the dupatta just slips through his fingers
- The famous "throwing chai" scene
- Her dupatta getting stuck in his watch
- And the poolside challenge kiss (choorha lo apna dupatta)
Well there are many more dupatta scenes but this time in haldi, it felt different. It was something new and old at the same time.
We are all so used to their dupatta scenes but it was still fresh. (Old but New)
We couldn't believe that Arnav was actually letting things go rather than controlling them. He had started to take life as it came to him. And he realized that "main apni kismat khud likhta hoon" was not so important anymore. He loved the moments life was throwing at him currently.
So, he let this haldi season take away all the toxicity within him. (Metaphorical right)
Then we see the most important part...
A monster who tore open the Dori of an unknown woman was now changed!
We see him covering her bare back by freeing her hair. Something he learnt from her only. In fact it was the same woman he hated on the first meeting.
Well, indeed a season of change! We all loved the passionate, energetic and happy Arnav. (Signifying the color yellow)
His eyes had the adolescence charm and passion. It was new for him and seeing him like that was new for us. (Again yellow signifies something New)
Last but not the least, we saw a hope. All of us from Arnav to Khushi to Arshians. Maybe, just maybe Arnav was falling in love with one and only Khushi. (Yellow is like the sunflower that reminds me of hope)
So, everyone I have just written the post for Arnav Singh Raizada. I mean we all loved him a little more because of his vulnerability and charms. I'm a girl so technically I have to like Arnav more, right?
Hope I didn't bore you.
(P.S - I'm still an ametuer writer)
