I don’t think it is the Bollywood stars. If government really cuts the underworld, they probably will be most relieved. I suppose, currently they still have to obey underworld’s orders.
If Kwan is a company set up by underworld for converting black money to white, hafta vasooli from artists, we can see how powerful it is by the way it hires actors and actresses. They negotiate with producer. Give something to actor/actresses, keep a portion to themselves. All these acts look voluntary. (Artists willingly joined Kwan). Did they? Interrogation of Reshma Shetty might give more information than Deepika Padukone.
If an artist want to stay out of all this and want to have creative liberty, then they have to give hafta to them. Probably that’s what Amir Khan did (giving 4 crones to Kwan). These kind of acts hints at what threats artists face otherwise. But government and police are not really bothered, as they have been fed well by the underworld all these years (and the fear that they get exposed). That’s why coverup.
We know underworld has ISI (Pakistan connections). If our own government is helping underworld, it just shows how much they care for this country.
