There have been some shows like that which I have watched and they have been wonderful. Wonder why they don't make finite series that much

Exactly , it will even give opportunities to the actors to try different roles , different genres, will improve their acting skills and most important we people will not have to see the show we invested time on getting butchered up like that, instead we will have proper plot and many good flavours in itv

Maybe promos are designed solely by SSP. The production house likes giving importance to sidekicks not villians. So I don't think its SSP who is doing this barbaric destruction with the show. However, the over dramatic promos lately I think has seen an intervention from the channel.

Promo's are chosen by channel sujz. And this dramatic promo's are definitely intervention from the channel.
