I don't think this transaction was decided beforehand. Meenu just wanted to ensure Kuhu doesn't back out. Plus, she probably considers only Red Pear as her amanat and that should go to her asli waaris. She seemed like she genuinely wanted to reward her karm se asli waaris and his wife.
