Not only the government, but even the common folk like us would support you. Rather we were for the longest time. But what did Bollywood give us in return?
1. Nepotism, insiders shoved down our throats whether we like it or not. And we have to watch because humare paas aur kya option hai.
2. Making rising talents jobless all of a sudden. Vaani, Illeana and Parineeti had it all in them to become big names. Why aren't they where they had to be? How come only one person gets all the good films? Are the others not talented enough? You say the audience has the power, we never did. We were being made fools for years.
3. Normalising drug culture in films. Showing that clubbing and drinking is cool for minors. Then you wonder why underage people are caught drinking? Govt ka rule hai na, 25 years above only, then why did you show a bunch of high schoolers partying and having shots in SOTY?
4. Taking us away from our culture. Anything related to Ancient India or Hinduism, you have literally made a mockery of it. If anyone here has seen Mastizaade, Sunny Leone's character is shown doing aarti of Tushar's character's putla singing an aarti on Babydoll's tune. While I have nothing against the actors ye sab jayaz hai? You are allowed to make fun of our Gods in films like PK. But God forbid we speak up, hum toh bhakt ho jaate hai. Secular ke naam pe you go to those countries which have disputes with our country...still we are the bad guys. Secularity ke naam pe humare beliefs ki bezzati, we never say bad about anything yet we should be quiet and take this crap.
5. You stand up for criminals and wrongdoers with your Roses are Red BS but keep mum when someone like Jiah or SSR are gone.
6. Eat up royalties of music directors, lyricists. And one they revolt you blacklist them. Where are all the 90s talents? Kitne talented log ab kahan hai? Where are Nikhil-Vinay, Sandish Shandilya, Anand-Milind, Laxmikant-Pyarelal, Viju Shah? Jinke aaj tak koi controversy nahi hui hai. Kisi ke haq ka paisa khaake sharam nahi aayi? And baitha diya, uske baad unhi ka gaana wapas banate ho aur naam aur izzat tak nahi dete?
7. Groupism and camps. New artists, specially outsiders who have dreams to make it big have to struggle their butt off to get somewhere in general. And then change themselves in order to be in either one of the camps. Is that what they wanted to do when they dreamed of becoming an actor/singer/director etc?
But no, the audience isn't a fool anymore. You can turn a blind eye but we wont. Bollywood definitely was not like this but it has become a dark messed up place. The good guys are virtually non-existent. Aap apni hypocrisy dikhaye par hum chup nahi rahenge.
Ravi Kishan ek popular actor hai regional cinema mein, par voh actor ye sab gandigi jhelne ke liye nahi bane they.
