Medical cadets who compete mbbs from Afmc of 4.5 years and 1 year internship in any of the army hospitals are commissioned as captain in Army medical corps.. 50 percent get permanent commission and others short service commissions.. These pass outs also get basic military training at afmc training center which was what was shown in promo... They are mostly posted initially as RMO that is regiment medical officer... Their ranks and promotion etc are similar to infantry... In field or during war they have to treat injured soldiers evacuate them ie even in the line of fire so they are given military training to defend themselves
Thank you for this.. Makes perfect sense...
Army has a lot of departments..
