Priceless
He walked out of the study, she did not turn around to look, just consulted her phone as if she had a screen shot of a title name and she was trying to match it to the ones in the Library
He was definitely intrigued
He did not know what to do about that
He wondered if she was employed by one of the many ladies busy giggling at a kitty party
His eyes scanned the expansive kitchen for he did not know what
Inder came out looking for him
"Kya hua?"
"Oh nothing"
"Are you sure?" "You look lost"
"No I am not" he claimed and went back in with his cousin
Without looking up from the ping pong table he casually threw a question out to Harsha
"Lots of people at home today"
"Oh yeah my Mum has this weekly charity kitty thing"
"Ah"
"Sorry, there isnt anyone I can introduce you to dude..." Harsha chuckled
"Jo THI maine le li" Inder back slapped
Raanav rolled his eyes
He muttered to himself "Shes all yours man!!"
Inder heard it and he scowled
When Harsha moved away he asked Raanav
"Do you really mean what you say when you say these things?"
"Umm.. like what?"
"The whole, not my class thingie"
"I never say that"
"You just have your nose in the air generally?"
"What did I say"
"I heard u mutter dude... she's all yours"
"I did" Raanav was defiant
"shes gorgeous... tujhe kabhi date nahi karegi" Inder scoffed in broken Hindi
"Thats fine... I aint holdin my breath" raanav flashed a smile
"Makes you look like an ass"
"Oh yeah?" Raanav tried to be unperturbed
the help brought an array of food and bevis
Rakshit showed up from Bangalore after losing some lucrative Banagalore Nagar Palika roads contract
The brothers were very close
"You should have gone with me" Rakshit smiled
"I doubt it... nobody wants to talk to a lawyer"
"You got that right" Inder insulted him
"Whats goin on"
"He is smitten by some gal he met here two nights ago at the host's wedding anniversary" raanav tried to be flippant
"Niice" Rakshit was kind
"And your brother over here thinks she is going to scam me out of home and business"
Piyush walked in chewing on a snack loudly
"Who met who"
"I met this gorgeous girl here Naina" Inder was like a teenager
"Oh yeah, Mamaji's daughter" Piyush nodded happily
"is she here?" Inder asked longingly
"No dude, she works... unlike deadbeats like u"
"Oh I work in Mauritius" Inder claimed
"U dont need him to hoo... to meet up" Raanav insisted
Inder heard the deflection and just did not answer
Raanav was being deliberately crude and there was no cure
The men played more video games and ping pong and ate together
Savita showed up later towards the end of the evening
"Aap log aate rehna" she spoke kindly
Inder was all smiles
"Sure aunty"
"I only have boys... so the house is always filled with boys" Savita declared
"U should have your friends bring their daughters Ma" Piyush chuckled
"Hain to..." savita waved towards the kitchen indicating Diya Karuna and Viveka were around
But she didnt say their names
"Ma woh bachiyann hai" Harsha laughed thinking of the twins
"Par.. Vi" Savita's phone rang in the opportune moment when she was going to mention Viveka's name but she left them alone
when it was time to go Raanav peeked into the study and did not find her
Inder chose to ride with rakshit, and Raanav walked to his car and lo and behold he found Viveka stacking bags of things in her trunk
"wow... shes here" was his first thought
Viveka did not even look at him
The manuscript was on top of the car this time
It irked him but he didnt say a word
He had to wait for her to pull out as usual as his back wheels were almost wedged near her bumper
The twins were no where to be seen
He wondered if the lady of the house, her employer had asked her to leave
"Bas ek aur bag laana hai" she mumbled running toward the house
"I am sorry, can you pull out" he demanded
"Bas 5 minute lagega" she offered
"i dont care... I already waited"
"OK" she said coolly and unlocked her car
"Aap apne employer ko kaho, aapko theek se gaadi chalana sikhaye" he said haughtily "Jo aap idhar udhar patak rahe ho is keemti book ko meri car aisi nahi hai" he schooled her pointing to the book on top of the car
"Office ki car nahi hai" she said looking at him confused
"Aapke ke maalik ki hai hai na... pehle parallel parking seekhen aap" he said again
"I was here already, aapne galat lagayi" she said coolly
she didnt bother to respond to his insult, it didnt even strike her that she was being insulted
"Stop wasting my time... please pull back" he said irritated
