In Twisted series, Rrahul plays Aryan Mathur the genius cop.
He is sharp enough to deduce that Aliyah Mukherjee killed the man she was dallying with (a complete revenge game from her side). But she was a genius too and the perfect crime could not be proven.
The sole reason of Twisted 2 is the fact that Aryan Mathur could not accept his failure of proving her guilty. He became obsessed with that one case and his career derailed. He was let go from his job and his obsession went to such heights that he killed a man to frame Aliyah.
All in all, both the characters are equal masterminds and their chemistry is sizzling. Thye are kinda dark and angsty souls, mad people playing a mad game. But then they are broken too and actually end up falling for each other once they realise that they are each other's equal.
There definitely are MUs but in the end Aliyah plays a last game to find out if Aryan actually loves her or not. He is at that time a man running from law and she shoots herself when the police is right at the gates.
He has two choices - choose his life and run or choose her life and risks his by taking her with him to the hospital.
He chooses the second and takes her to the hospital but also escapes before being caught. When she recovers she gives a press release to her friends where there is a coded message to him. She has apparently kept money and fake passports aside for him because she knew that he would choose to save her.
It's really twisted - like if he chooses to save her, she has a path set for his safety. But if he had not saved her, he would have been ultimately caught by the police. She would have been dead and he would have been jailed or put to death.
Taking the documents, Aryan crosses the nearest border and leaves the country. Aliyah and Niya unite there and later plan to return to India with another twisted game as Aryan is a fugitive in India now.
