Who decides that she is falsely being charged untill the official verdict comes? The media trial is undoubtedly wrong and I just and unfair but unfortunately that's part of the profession

Mental health is a reality.. so is depression and so is murder.. if someone feels their lives one did not die of suicide and there is more to the story, they have the right to get it investigated.. if proven wrong, they can face the consequences.. they have taken the legal route not resorted to blinds and articles.. so they will face the consequences of their actions

I never understand this giving tags all the time. If it's against women, it's misogyny or witch hunt, if majority people are supporting a particular thing, it's called herd mentality. I mean, can we rise above from all this, and not bring gender in every thing. Are we girls or women, this weak that we have to play a woman card and always support a woman. Uff.

People forget, from Pratyusha to Jiah Khan, their partners were questioned too. If the case has been reversed and Sushant would have been in place of Rhea, do you all feel the public would have spared him?

And also, it's not always herd mentality, the same herd mentality has brought major revolutions in various nations.

And, talking about people like Kangana, there have always been people who take the advantage of various situations , so, should people stop taking a stand on such issues?

And keyboard warriors, there were people who kept saying Karan Johar K paise, wo kisi ko bhi cast Kare, to logo ka internet, and time, Unka man, kaise bhi use kare.

If people have issues, then take the route of cyber complaint and report them.

A family has taken a legal route, if they find something fishy, so, it's their right to investigate.

Talking about Rhea, if she is guilty, she should be in the jail and if she isn't guilty, hope she comes out stronger but not because oh she is a poor 'girl ' who is bullied by people. Being in minority doesn't justify your wrong doings. Sorry not sorry.

Totally agree with every thing you wrote Renee. This is beyond my understanding to bring Misogyny and Women card in everything here

Misogyny or not.

Depression or not.

Toxic insensitive family or not.

Witch hunt or not.

The truth is with the agencies and it won't change. Whoever side is at fault, is going to get exposed.

I saw the nirbhaya's rapist defendant lawyer making some horrifying statements and undying efforts to postpone/cancel hanging. The case went on and on *but* the fact remained the same. They did rape her , they did kill her and they were hanged.

Has anyone given a single thought in regards that whoever has failed him (the two party involved) were the people he loved the most? His own family who (no matter whats been said) he was close to and loved them to the bits where as the other one involved is his live-in girlfriend. Somebody he trusted.

How is it less evil if either side has wronged him?

Let time tell!

Do I support accused? Not even one bit.( Hope atleast drug racket is exposed)

Do I have questions on his sister's? No. But I won't be much surprised if they are found at fault somewhere too! But what difference does it going to make? They have all the rights to doubt whoever they want to and they will see for truth about his death. How is this a matter of misogyny? Anywhere when a closed one dies, the immediate partner , irrespective of the gender is under radar.

Don't insult people who are genuinely a victim of misogyny by defending someone who is accused by a family in alleged suicide or murder.

Misogyny and pseudo feminism go hand in hand.

And both are curse to the world.

All said , even if the family does get accused for wrong accusation , Sushant's father have four well educated independent daughters and a college drop out son ; that's the worst example one can give for misogyny.

Now i seriously feel that this entire hullabaloo was simply because people are not educated enough about mental health

It was assumed that his death will finally aware people not only in India but in the developing south Asian countries, about mental health but alas the entire thing took a totally different turn.

After seeing The arguments in different platforms I can just say that there is like a horrible misconception about depression and other drugs related to it. Also, being depressed is not equal to being mad. Whenever the depression angle is being brought up people get offended thinking Sushant is being called mad no sorry he is not being called mad, it is not the same thing.

Even i am not an expert in this field so I refrain myself from commenting on the drugs, treatment etc because that's what should be done if you do not have the knowledge about something then just shut up!

Every theory be it the double ambulance thing, 15cr fiasco, penguins etc all is getting thrown out of the window like a paperball so what does it teach you? That shouldn't you atleast wait for the final verdict??

I don't know if rhea is a villain monster angel saint or what but saying that her father deserves to get mobbed by the public is worst! Imagine that happens to her father and years later you get to know she was innocent how will you feel?

I am not saying to give a clean chit to anyone but atleast wait for the verdict.... act a little bit civilised!! Try to act human and not only towards rhea towards Sushant family too. They have lost a very precious part of their life do not add more to their miseries. We do not know what the real reason was but till then atleast be civilised!

Yes if Sushant was in Rhea's place he might have faced something similar maybe worse. And unfortunately the poor guy had faced something horrible with the metoo allegations and we all read how it affected him. So what does it teach us that shouldn't we atleast wait for some solid evidence before running after someone with the tipu sultan sword???

If rhea is guilty she will get punished and she should but wait until its proven!

What a gem of a post!

I also wanted to add, not just about this case but in general as the topic is on mental health. Even if the person suffers from all kinds of mental illnesses, it doesn't mean they cannot be taken advantage of. In fact, many mentally ill women or men get sexually, physically, emotionally, financially abused because it's easier to exploit them from their vulnerability. Mentally ill people only have stereotype about them either being crazy or them committing suicide, what about those mentally ill people who get abused, does it not matter because they were mentally ill, as if all their problems can only exist in the vacuum of their own mental illness, can outside people not mistreat and use them? This is another stigma about them that is not being addressed.

I agree to almost everything that you said.

But the thing that I found offensive was people agreeing to the fact that suicide was because of depression. Or whatever his mental health condition was, if any.

Agree majority of the world have taboo against it but those who don't, too can have a doubt if someone is dead.

Depression does not always lead to suicide. A depressed person can have full intension of living life and come out of it. The will to live is one of the key factors.

And I say this only for this case that we don't know if depression is what has caused the tragedy.

Not linking a death to depression is not same as not understanding the depth and seriousness of the disease.
