They are identical with slight difference only . In west mostly ppl use PEMDAS . In India it’s BODMAS.

One last time i am saying this, i dont want to lose my mind over this.

We had to come at a solution not just for math question but for all the questions.

You may personally look at it from single lens of you or your friends not getting a point but we as a host have to find a common solutions for all the questions.

The issue lies in generic, broad and specific answers. Its not easy to balance it all.

A. The one who said addition(specific) only cant be clubbed under arithmetic(broad). They didn't mention subtraction or multiplication or division. Same goes for those who said multiplication.

B. Those who said BODMAS(broad-specific) cant be clubbed under Arithmetic(umbrella term) because they didn't mention other elements of arithmetic.

C. Same way who said Basic mathematics (again broad) exclude other elements of arithmetic.

Somewhere line has to be drawn.

If you still have issue with it. Cant help.
