I think it has very less chances, sadly. Jai Bani was quite iconic as leads in Kasam se,(Ram Kapoor- Prachi Desai) and , if the production has used this name again for a couple then I guess they are the main couple.

That is a very good tactic to give the name of an iconic couple and create the hype basis the popularity of the couple and cash in on them. But, unfortunately, I don't think that will happen here. That can happen only once. Naageshwari and Hriday were not given the screen presence, which the hero and heroine should receive. And Aakesh and Naageshwari dominated the screen even if it was just hate or obsession. If they are trying to show fine, but I am more interested in Veer and Bani's story than Jai and Bani's. And honestly, I never go by what couple they show initially because they always don't end up together. Let's see though. I don't know why this all looks like they are trying too hard to promote Jai and Bani, whereas we have not even seen them interact yet. And Veer is not even promoted, yet people are interested in his character progression and story with Bani.

They looks like a cute pair but meko intensity chahiye, aag chahiye, tabaahi chahiye which only veer aka cheel can create.

In ek deewaana tha Shiv was not the obsessed one sided lover, he was indeed in a relationship with Sharanya who loved him back, vyom was the obsessed one who murdered Shiv to get to Sharanya, but to his bad luck Shiv came back as a ghost.
