Yea it is important that Kuhu feels this guilt and is genuinely apologetic. Because afterall she is Mishti's sister.
It's that basic bond the writers have lost and forgotten amdist the bahu-kitchen politics pre-lockdown.
Because remember in the early parts of the show, even though Mish-ku would fight behind close doors, they knew how to be happy for each other infront of the family.
And Kuhu's immediate sense of guilt after that horrific janmashtmi incident, seemed genuine. That's why Kuhu's apologies and emotions for Mishti, right now is important in bringing at least some substance back in to her character
