Bondita was in her room, looking outside the window. Her cheeks were stained with dried tears. She was trying to take deep breaths to stop her crying but nothing seemed to work out for her. "Aniruddh tumse kabhi shaadi nahi karna chahta tha. Woh mujhse pyaar karta tha, karta hai aur karta rahega." Mini's words rang in her head. She was still in her thoughts when someone entered the room. "Bondita, kaka kabse bula rahe tumhein neeche." Aniruddh said as soon as he entered, with smile across his face, typical of him. His voice startled her. She quickly wiped her tears with the corner of her saree pallu and practiced her smile a few times and turned to look at him. "Woh, main, main woh." Bondita tried to frame some excuse but couldn't, simply couldn't. "Kuch hua hai kya Bondita? Kisi nein kuch kaha? Batao mujhe." Aniruddh asked to her, softly. "Nahi Barrister Babu." Bondita said with a smile and almost ran out of the room. "Barrister Babu?" Aniruddh repeated to himself and felt that pinch in his heart. "Bondita, meri baat suno." He went behind her. He knew things were not good in her head, not at all.
