I was wondering why she was here. Her reply surprised me.

Anmol ne mujhe dekh liya. Maine chup kar sab dekhna chaha tha par jab anmol ne mujhe dekh hi liya to kuch to karna tha. Par maine usse jab kaha mai tumse baat karna chahti hoo usne pooja ki taraf dekha aur mana kar diya. I was literally shocked why he did that? I am his childhood friend and anytime I asked him for anything he never refused. And here he simply said he doesn't want to talk to me.

His words made me remember some about my hard past... Flashes of bitterful incidents began to triggered my mind. My heart is throbbing hard as I am witnessing such forceful incidents again...

I became numb and stood still.. Only tears rolled down my cheeks. But couldn't react as I am trembling hard....

I immediately regretted saying that I did when I saw that instead of helping the situation, it made it worse. Pooja started to tremble and I cloud hear the silent sobs. I came in front of her.

Aah, her eyes. They were so mysterious. It held an ocean full of secrets. Anmol had told me about all the bad things that happened to her. And it reflected out of her eyes.

I turned around to look at Anmol and his friend as they talked to each other.

She wouldn’t trust me but she would definitely trust Anmol. He helped her out, saved her life. There was no way she wouldn’t trust him.

I sighed before talking.

“She won’t listen to me. Tum try karo. Shayad woh tumhari baat sune.” I gave him an encouraging smile before walking away from there. I stayed in the room though, I wasn’t leaving until Pooja got her first aid done.

She was silent... I took it as an encouragement to proceed.

I slowly dabbed the cotton. She hissed in pain.

' Thoda jalega, but jaldi theek ho jayega.'

I blowed air on the wound.

After doing the dressing, I made her sit on the bed.

' see ... Did I hurt you? I am not bad... '

Abeh kya pareshaani hai usse? Kyun hum sab ko pareshan kar rahi hai yeh ladki?

Na jaane konsi musibat utha le aaya Anmol idhar, I gave my disappointment.
