Alia now Jhanvi. alia was able to pull it off, but still overrated as hell. Now Jhanvi jumped straight into a role too ambitious for her to carry out.
Why don’t these star kids wait until they earn films on their merit!! The greed!

Her role is ambitious. Gunjan Saxena is an icon in ways.

they shouldn't, they should stick with fluffy roles before going into these 'acting' challenges
See, it's like biting off more than they can chew. Which is all very ambitious and looks good on paper, but when it comes to brass tacks backfires because most of them are not that invested in acting, but in the more superficial, frivolous aspects of stardom and fame.
If you see it from their perspective, they want to make their filmography look good. Which makes sense. Problem comes in when they are offered all this on a platter, and get offers which are way beyond the capabilities which they have to offer. That's where a major discrepancy creeps in.
I would blame the system which makes it so accessible and easy for them to move ahead, rather than the star. The starkid is just leveraging his/her opportunities.

Very well said!
I feel the same way about them. They don’t even bother to polish or showcase their acting skills or give it a few years before jumping into the deep end. Janhvi started off with that disaster Dhadak and now suddenly wants to be the next Tabu or something. I mean, take it easy girl!

Agreed! So many people are so stuck on blaming the star kids but who would say no to great opportunities? If I wanted to be an actor and was offered a great launch, why would I not take it? Essentially you are just blaming them for being born to famous parents. It's the director's responsibility to ensure that the leads are right for the film.

You make a good point about taking opportunities but surely its the responsibility of the actor to finesse their craft? If I get a job that I'm not qualified for then I would work twice as hard to make sure I do justice to my position. Its hard for directors to get the right lead for the films if the production house aka Dharma wont allow it.
