Even I felt dismayed seeing a old man marrying a kid... That was utmost disgusting thing to see..!

They are slowly representing the women's right...by voicing out for child marriage was the first step towards it and there are more to go.!

Cv's are taking baby steps and for obvo reason it's itv so don't mind lot of drama and dragging thing in BB..!

But trust me you will like it.! Both male and female lead are doing justice to the character😊

It was absolutely horrifying! What's worse is that all these notions were being propagated by both men and women. When Bondita's aunt was speaking with Bondita's mother, for a moment I did wonder if she's just a product of her environment. Idk if you've watched Bulbbul, but I was reminded of Binodini's character. Yes, she was mean towards Bulbbul, but there was a moment where we can see that her mentality was greatly shaped due to the society around her.

Then on the other hand, I think these characters are simply created for the sake of creating drama, and depicting how extreme people can get when it comes to maintaining rituals, duties etc.

There are times where I feel like the actor for Anirudh is being OTT, but I can allow it. Bondita has my entire heart though. She's too precious for words. <3

That era was hell..! Feeling bad for them 😵

Argh! I can't even imagine being alive back then and being stripped away of literally all our basic rights. It's making me even more grateful for what I have now, and pray that girls all over know what their rights are.

Alta resembles blood, which is symbolic of fertility, passion and prosperity. So it is worn by brides of West Bengal (and other parts of India, it's a part of solaah shringaar) on their wedding and also during Durga Puja. But alta can also be worn by young unmarried maidens because of there cooling effect, mostly on whim though, like I used to. 😆 However Islamic invasion in India brought along Henna or Mehndi that replaced the usage of Alta with Mehndi in rest of the India, but West Bengal still clings into Alta and its blazing red colour that also symbolises new beginning and harmony.

EDIT: Sorry for the huge rant but being a Bengali myself, who is very passionate about her culture and also a literature/history student my hands just could not stop typing. Sorry for boring you. 😆

Impressed Briti ❤️ super informative thanks for explaining it in a authentic way...now I want to try Alta again. 😳(used to apply when I dance for school functions) but then I didn't know about the passion behind it 😳

Bored ..? Not at all Briti.. I would like to know more about our culture in each part of India 😳 I'm passionate about our culture that made me to ask about pola shank 😳 and I would like to know more about it from you 😳

Thank you so much for clearly explaining 🤗

Want to hear more from you ❤️

Totally agree..! Yup Binodini's character and mami's and most of the women then are shaped and taught by the society that women are meant to be in kitchen, meant to serve the men in house, etc ,etc.,

So from young age they have the mentality to follow the elder's wordings without questioning why .? Infact they don't have any authority to do and ask back.!

On a side they pray to goddess who is women and on otherside they ditch their own family women's...!

Maybe at initial you will feel Anirudh character is being OTT but it needed for the story maybe and Bondita is lil bundle of talented kid ❤️
