Second, can’t compare ratings before and after lockdown. Those times, KKB used to get 3 kinda ratings. Now even that show is getting only 1.8. Agreed that YRHPK has failed at 9 pm because just in the previous slot on same channel show is getting 2.5.
And if you think all Indian women will leave their husbands at the first hint of ill treatment, you need a reality check. Maybe you don’t live in India. (I don’t watch Anupama so don’t know exact story)

@bold: Pls try sampling it. No the utter degradation Anupama faces at the hand of her husband, kids and family not the first instance it is been happening for 25 years and we are suppose to witness her empowerment after her long hiatus with a good dose of degradation in between.

So no, I dont think I need reality check rather we all as audience need some awareness on what it means to love your family members without losing one's own self-respect.

Coming to KHKT I never believed it was the best but I still beleive it was one of the better ones for the most part. And it was unfair how it was axed so suddenly.

Maybe that's why fans are still salty about it. It's easy to find fault with one of the show one is watching and to call the fans to be blind ones.

Imagine if the same thing happens to your favourite one?? Seeing your liking for the show I wish it faces better fate than KHKT. Hope the chanel don't change the time slot to 9pm.

As for comparison of ratings most of the shows are improving except for the KB(D) and YRHPK is no able to beat them now when they are down.

The 2+ratings of YHPRK happend many months after launch of it and even then it didn't face any pressure due to the time slot and was able to progress with a medicore storyline unlike KHKT which had a good plot but never was allowed to progress infact got ruined totally due to the channel interference for better TRP.

People and Sandiip often said that when we inserted stalking drama in the show trp increased WITH WHICH I COMPLETELY DISAGREE. Stalker drama came 2 weeks before marriage still trp was 1.7. Not a single increase i can prove it right now showing a trp. Ronakshi got married and KHKT jumped to 2.4 (Urban Trp). Does it mean that Indian audience only love kidnapping and drama really. NO. 2.4 trp because Ronakshi got married and this is what audience LOVED otherwise if it was Mahesh drama then 2 weels mein ek boond bhi trp kyun nahi badi kyun sirf wedding week pe badi. THIS PROVES THAT PRODUCERS ARE MISUNDERSTANDING TRP AUDIENCE !!!! If the next week had reception as planned i bet Khkt would have beated kkb. Also, when KHKT crossed 2.4 trp that day kkb had 2.8 trp (which had 3.2 trp the very last week). So we should never say KHKT had no potential. AND DONT EVEN SAY THAT KHKT WAS A FLOP !!

But she does not get angry with any of them, gets up next day to do everything for them and ready face new challenges(read degradation) from them.. So if this is not regressive enough let me add one more thing, out of her 3children only one is loving & understanding, then you have the ever supporting FIL... Everyone else has no respect and love for her😕...

Also I did/do not wish any ill will towards another show. Always know this show will win the trp race when this is what audiences want. Very close to reality shows where when watching them we feel we are better than them.

Infidelity by partners is not the only yardstick to measure a show being regresive. Infact it's a an ultimate betrayal.

Here It's the emotional, mental abuse that most of the family members do and portraying a woman accepting all disrespect in the name of love is what regressive and in that Anupama excels till now. I am sure the awakening/reckoning will come after 500 episodes..

Anyways will stop this topic now. After the initial curiosity I stopped watching it. The freshness factor if any 😔will come down soon enough.

I can totally understand your point of view. But the thing Anupuma was never Rajan Shahi's idea. Starplus wanted this show ONLY FOR TRP. They saw Star Jalsha reaching new heights with Sreemoyee so they brought it for Starplus too. But one more thing that i would like to tell you is that Sreemoyee did really wonders for Star Jalsha. After Sreemoyee, Star Jalsha started focussing on more content based shows. Star Jalsha's Mohor a complete college drama is the trp topper right now, a recently launched show Titli about a girl who wants to be a fighter pilot but she is deaf, we have many such shows now. Right now there are a lot of good shows on Star Jalsha and more are in making. So i believe that Anupuma's entry in the market could really change Starplus way of story telling.

By the way they are following Sreemoyee. It has 300 episodes and the awakening happened on 47th episode. So pls dont be negative, it is not that bad like how you are thinking. Imagine Sreemoyee is a single show that had changed Star Jalsha's story telling from crass to class. Now wonder what wonders it can do for SP. 👍🏼

Everyone knows that there is no point of mocking the channel. But when it's so harmless and is not affecting the mental peace and real life of anyone, what really is the problem in it is not my cup of tea.

I am glad they changed YRPHK time slot to 9pm. I knew this show will struggle. Now it's proven that the problem was time slot not the content.

Infact KHKT did better with so much completion (crorepati show was also running). Somehow I am happy and feel like got some kind of closures.

See YRHPK may have been a good show but it never faced trp pressure because it had a better time slot. without competition the show to was able to retain slot leader position.

Anupama was always a trp winner and please let's not blame channel/makers anymore. Whatever the treatment of this show may be, in its core this show is a regressive and glorifies a woman by making all the other ones around her shitty people.

Talk about living with a low life husband who cheats on you and with whom she lives for 25yrs and then gets empowered🤢pls give me a break. Channel/makers all are serving what the audiences want.

KHKT should have made Suman the ultimate villan who cared nothing about her daughter well being. And of course Rohit should have been the husband who cheats, abuse Sona left and right. Then the audience would have loved Sona trying to overcome all this with only Ajit/Pulkit help. Everyone else should demean her. Now that's the script gets you viewership. 2.4 for Anupama🤢how pathetic..

I Think the maker of both the show will exchange the time slot and will rule the prime time slot until Ekta comes up with a better Bhagya show where the degrading of women, family relationships will stoop even further than this.

No offence to anyone who enjoys Anupama. Pls don't pay attention to me rant, everyone loves this show and this is leading the numbers compare to both old and new shows.

Well Sandip should not feel so bad now(if he ever did). Anything other than Anupama is not getting better trp even the one established and popular show like YRPHK..

One thing I am curious knowing the trp potential of Anupama why did Starplus tried this experiment with YHRKP? Were they trying to justify the axed KHKT due to lower trp with the apple to apple comparison??

Well maybe this experiment proved one thing that is audiences still love regressive, over dramatized shows only and surely they are not to be blamed for not bringing content based shows..

Even I don't understand the strategy behind giving YRHPK the 9 pm slot! When it was already doing well in it's former slot, why would you want to bring it out of it's comfort zone?! Additionally, Anupama does have the added advantage of being regressive which is the evergreen liking of the TRP audience!

No show has proved it's mettle in the 9 pm slot and hence, KHKT's off air can never make sense to me! And I am still salty about it, regardless of whether people find me to be silly😆

It's amusing how people conveniently call others 'Blind Fans'😆

Is this post justifying that the TRP audience is smart and loves good content?🤓

I beg to differ.

ITV shows are majorly watched by women that too who are not so much intune with our liberalized mind sets. TRPs bring in money and drama of this sort begets TRPs. So it's definitely not that the TRP audience will really connect to the progressive shows.

Therefore, it's certainly not that the producers have misunderstood their audience. They know it very well and hence bring the drama which caters to their liking.

About KHKT, well it's very clear. Sandiip needed the numbers which the first phase of KHKT didn't provide. Hence he opted for the stereotypical route. But he also wanted to cater to the progressed audience. So he tried to do a mix and match of both type of content resulting in a messy storyline. It was all half baked drama which obviously didn't do well enough.

Having said that, KHKT mightn't have had the best story in the later stage but it certainly was very good when compared to other shows. All in all, the treatment served to our show was out and out unwarranted and disgusting.
