When did Deepika legalize infidelity? She said it's my choice to have sex outside of marriage, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. It can be interpreted in several ways.
1.) Sex outside of marriage as in premarital sex. Having sex without being married, hence outside the institution of marriage. Indeed her choice.
2.) Extramarital sex, which is again perfectly ok in an open marriage. And it's her choice to do that.
So tell me again, when did she legalize infidelity?
I didn't hear open marriage even once in that whole statement
It's all about what and how you interpret it. If you want to assume the worst then...... I really can't help.
No it's not outside the window, yes it's not premarital sex (I forgot the video but thanks for reminding me the line), but the fact that you can have sex outside the institution of marriage. It is shunned by the society, especially if it's a woman.
Of course, "open marriage" is "our choice" not "my choice", but I think she is trying to say it's "my choice" to choose an open marriage over a closed one. So you, the society, are nobody to judge me if I enter into an open marriage with my partner.
You think only the men in their lives (husband, father, brother, uncle, etc.) judge women? Women are judged by everyone in the society, including other women. So this is a message to everyone. It's my choice to have premarital sex, my choice to have sex without ever getting married, my choice to be in an open marriage. YOU, the society, do not get to have any say in that.
Your line of argument is like those people who say "Oh, you are saying men are trash. Does that mean you father and boyfriend are also trash na? HAHAHAH" No, it's not applicable to everyone. In the same way "My choice" is more of a statement to the society, rather than their life partners.
Highlighted is what I support
Our society is so hypocrite that they will call a guy stud etc. for having multiple relationships and hookups but will s*ut-shaming a girl (seen this happening daily)
But the last point if and only if both have consent for that. Women don't have any right to jeopardise a relationship and then run away using feminism.

NO. But I can't imagine a guy saying the SAME LINE and then being appreciated for it. I hated that line.
I consider myself to be feminist too but again u can't say shit under the umbrella of feminism. I completely forgot Neha Dhupia's one.
1. she never “legalized” it.
2. You are clubbing “My choice “ with Rape comment.
There is guy mocking Rape Victims right there. He got away with it. Was their a backlash? Yes. Was he made to apologize? No. The warrior princess apologized for it. Anushka laughed.
3. Deepika is still sl*t shamed for it. Recently, I came actoss a video asking her about having multiple partners in an interview she did sitting next to Ranbir (of all people) . Do men get such questions?
His father (bless his soul) boasted about his son having A , B , C or D .
I can imagine men saying it and getting away with it. So please don’t even give that BS .

It's not like that. Just like the hypocrisy I mentioned in my previous reply, the same exists the other way around. We would have bombarded a guy if he would have said the same line.

1) She is hinting to support that in the name of empowerment(legalized might be a wrong word I picked)
2) I voted for Salman as that's the most disgusting one. I hate rape jokes more than anyone and have confronted my colleagues too. I am not clubbing them but for me as a guy DP's statement is offensive
3) I called out that hypocrisy in one of my reply myself but what I am saying is that Ranbir doing that is wrong on a different level but deepika asserting is wrong too. Men are getting away with it is a failure of society but women starting to do the same is just ruining it in the name of equality. Men should be called out more.

The whole "sex outside the marraige" thing has nothing to do with sex without marriage between two non committed people, it is about extramarital affair.
The video which is filled with straightforward words for whole time, is suddenly for just one line "out of marriage" is not what it says, but it is something different. "sex outside of marriage" in every dictionary means a married person having sex with someone they aren't marraiged too.
And my line of argument is, there is no deeper meaning in the video, that you are trying to find. It is a simply worded video, where they botched a line, and you my friend are now trying to find something which isn't there by saying, that line representated "sex without marriage" and "open marriage", which is not at all the case.

@Bold: Simply not true. That they are married is your assumption.
Please show me those other dictionaries you are referring to, because this is the first google result for that exact phrase.

Fornication? Really?
If Kesri/Homi were really going for fornication, why would they seperate the "sex before marriage" and "sex outside of marriage", because fornication includes both. They could have just said "sex outside of marriage".
And if we google "sex outside of marriage", alongside fornication, also comes the extramarital relationship. Lets not depend on the google algorithm, which is designed person to person.
And its not about interpretation, it is as it is, it is you who is trying to find somekind of deeper meaning in that video, when it has none. It is a straightforward video.
Though all of them makes me cringe n go WTF, but bhai saab's rape comment makes me want to break his neck. Just a reflection of society
