This is nothing, I still can't get my head around the fact that Karnataka govt wants covid + students to sit for an exam.(kcet)
No. Maybe I am a little unaware about the current status of the pandemic in different countries. Aren't the cases declining now? 😕 Even if they are not I guess they are steady right? So I don't see a problem in opening theaters. Most of the people have had enough of torture and depression staying in their homes for months. They need to breathe. They need to live. They need entertainment.

I said almost Corona free. But everything is steady and situation is in control, right? People want to start living a life again. They need to overcome the fear, paranoia, stress and anxiety that has plagued them for the past six months now.

I think cases are increasing in India... Not sure about the death and hospital rates.. Are they declining? Heard common people with Wuhan virus can’t even get admitted in hospitals
Also not sure if they have flattened the curve or even peak has been reached or which phase the country is in
But they have resumed movie shootings with restrictions so I am assuming there’s some improvement

Well if the film shoots are happening already, everyone should be okay with theaters opening as well. Let me tell you one thing, it's the fear of this Chinese virus that makes anyone half dead even before contracting it. We cannot be leading such lives. I am sorry but we need to fight it by facing it head on. It's been six months already.
I am pretty sure once the theaters open in August, lots of people will definitely go and watch the films. They want their lives back. They need their share of fun in life which they truly deserve.

We had the peak 50K+ daily new cases yesterday and approx 700+ daily new deaths. So, no India hasn't yet controlled covid.
Also it is really stupid to open theatres and put people at risk when most can't even go to their offices/colleges/schools.

Zoloft, one of the most widely prescribed antidepressants in the U.S. has fallen into short supply, cz of the increase in demand due to mental health strains caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
it’s either that or suicide for many people
Isolation and anxiety triggered by the coronavirus has heightened the demand for mental-health services.
Not to mention the economic destruction, for some people it might take a really long time to recover or may never recover economically
Cinema halls are opening all over the world.. I did post a link here in the previous page
But opening movie theatres in a country like India is a little tricky
And 25% occupancy is just not practical...
Seriously? India is #3 in cases. With the situation as bad as India, that's just stupid.

Nothing is tricky or impractical. People know enough about this virus now. They can take some precautions if they wish to and can enjoy, have a good time and get their lives back on track. It's the fear mongering that is killing people from the inside and that's going to have long term effects, not this Corona.
