No no. Slytherins aren't evil. It's only a few of them. The colors are based on their main traits. Slytherins are considered to be ambitious, cunning, and have resourcefulness. Hence they have the colour green and silver which are often associated with such traits.

Oh I’m referring it to what I remember from the characters in the film. I just googled the actual traits and realised I’m a mix of Puff and Raven 😃
