Thanks for sharing this interesting info regarding Balram with us Gayatri.🤗

I found this story very interesting --

Balarama also killed Rukmi( brother of Rukmini and hence, Krishna’s brother-in-law) with his mace because Rukmi had purposefully insulted and cheated him in a chess match, at the occasion of Aniruddha’s(Krishna’s grandson’s )marriage.

But here is another interesting point to note😃See this!

Rukmi’s daughter Rukmavati, married Krishna’s son Pradyumna. Rukmavati and Pradyumna had a son called Aniruddha!!

Rukmi later became friends with Krishna. However, Rukmi was not accepted by Arjuna or Duryodhana as an ally in the Kurukshetra war because of his boastfulness. Thus Rukmi's Vidarbha army stayed away from the Kurukshetra War.

hmmm, different perspectives i see from different sources!! Good to read. I get so overwhelmed when i think how rich our culture and its associate stories are. Proud to be part of such a culture and history.

Very true Gayatri. Our culture and the associated stories are highly rated in the thinking world! Western thinkers are attracted to Eastern culture and Philosophy so much and they acknowledged it on many occasions. 😊

Thank you Minakshi for opening this thread.🤗

Since yesterday, we were talking about Karna insulting Draupadi in Kuru Sabha in the chat club Sleet thread.

Don't know why they included Mahabharath war as an important part of the Radha Krishna love story? And most importantly, why they dragged Radha into the battlefield to guide Krishna??🤪 The writers are too eager to show Mahabharath war in an eternal love story!

Bhagvat Gita, a discourse between krishna-arjun is an important part of krishna's story.

May be they are inspired by the idea of, "Love at the time of war". 😆

Lets see how they interprete mahabharat in rk.

Bhagavad Gita was an important discourse on Dharma by Sri Krishna, in which he explained the sacred duty with which every one of us born , and how we must fulfill that duty during this lifetime. In it, he defined what is disciplined action under the guidance of Self- knowledge, through Spiritual knowledge which we got from the Vedas and Upanishads. All the Vedas and other religious scriptures give importance to the three major themes, knowledge, action, and love. That is for our normal perception!!!

But for these serial makers, it seems, they want to explore how it looks like if they introduce a new angle, "Love at the time of War" in such a way to check our patience!!😆

I have no idea when this kiddish Krishna will grow up😕, up to the level of guiding the Epic War in this serial.

Another interesting topic about this serial we are discussing is--- why Krishna is roaming in the battlefield without any protection on his chest or over his head as Arjun's charioteer! The presence of Bheeshma and Drona, the greatest archers of that time didn't warn him to wear a proper headgear and Kavach. 😲

This way they are interpreting the Mahabharath Mina. If Radha's presence in the war zone looks proper for them what to say?! 😕

@ Madhuri,

They must be thinking of showing MB from Radha's perspective. So she can go anywhere. May be she can enlighten Gita too. Be prepared for anything. 😆

In order to divert her mind from Ayan's tortures, Radha will converse with Krishna by using telepathy for sure 👍🏼
