Krishn did not need arjun to be emperor. He needed arjun to be his commander in chief.

Krishna did not need arjun and draupadi son to rule. Or arjun subhadra son to rule.

Arjun and his sons would just be the commander in chiefs, fighting and winning battles for yadaavs.

Arjun for Krishna/pradyumna. Abhimanyu for Aniruddha. Parikshit for Vajra.

Seee, to draw such a conclusion, there have to be legitimate stwos taken in that direction by Krishna. None of what Krishna did suggests it. In fact, the easier way for him to build an empire would've been to marry Panchali himself.

I'm going to ask again: how would Arjuna / Panchali serve the goal of Yadava supremacy?

This again leads to a problem. Arjuan would not go against Hastinapuri. I assume nor would he go against Panchal if that were the case.

Not only that, Krishna would need Panchali's active cooperation in the plan because Panchali was no wilting lilly not to recognize it and opposite it if she so believed. We'd have to actually believe she was so without grey matter that she bought into it.

Also, if you believe in polyandry, then Krishna was there when it was talked about. You don't think he would've said even a word in objection if he thought his plans were getting annihilated? You don't think he'd have prompted Panchali to say something?

Yudhishtira was always the end game. For Krishna and Vyasa.

Panchali absolutely nothing else other than bring Arjun to Krishna,

By making her Drupad's daughter, eventually Dhrisht to could kill drona and give uttar panchal to arjun as dowry and split him from Pandavas. Drupad ofcourse would get his revenge on drona even if not the land.

Arjun was the most formidable warrior of the time.Krishna just had Pradyumna and Satyaki.

They had proven ineffective against Jarasandh

Balram was always against him. Even if he did not show it openly. Kritaverma was looking for an opportunity to get rid of him.

And Jarasandh was baying for his blood. So was Shishupal and Rukmi. He had no money.

Krishna marrying panchali had nothing in it for either Drupad or himself.

Dhrist Drona fight would then mean Arjun fighting for Drona and against Drupad and Krishna. Shishupal would happily join Arjun then.

Most important. Krishna Drupad and Draupadi had no clue about polyandry till she reaxhed potters hut.

After she was won. As in case of Subhadra, if Drau or Drupad said no, Pandavas will simply walk away. No marriage then. Most importantly now Krishna may have had to do a pity marriage with draupadi if she wanted to save face.

After swayamavar victory Vyasa simply laid it as either 5 or no one.

Krishna needed Arjun. He didnt have choice.

Drupad needed Arjun to step away from Drona he didnt have a choice

Draupadi needed any one of the Pandava to marry her as had been publicly won by Arjun after defeating everyone else.

That is why I said, Vyasa shrewdly messed up Krishna's plan.

He used Draupadi to tie Arjun to Yudhishtir even more firmly such that now Krishna could never wean him away, even by getting his own sister married to him

For this specific reason, I am saying Vyasa and Krishna were never together. They were working for themselves.

Vyasa for his son Yudhishtir (protege). Krishna for his son Pradyumna (protege)

Both needed Arjun the warrior. Both used Draupadi to get him. Vyasa suceeded. But only till the war. Krishna won there. But krishna lost few years later by his own relatives

However I strongly believe Vajra was the compromise, he was Yudhishtir's grandson born to his daughter suthanu and krishna's grandson born to his son bhanu. This marriage must have happened after the war.

Original.plan must have been Vajra (krishna and yudhishtirvs grandson) emperor with parikshit (arjun's grandson) by his side. But Samba, Kritaverma and Satyaki messed it up.

Vajra ended up being a refugee supported by Parikshit.

Hence Yudhishtir's advice to subhadra. Remember be fair to both of them
