Mini opened the door with a broad smile on her sparkled face.

"Neil", her heart sighed.

"Happy birthday ", wishes Neil as he handed over her a bouquet.

Minni welcomed everyone and Neil just winked at her in response.

Babita came running to them chirping all over the house.

Minni introduced her to everyone.

Neil just gave a astonished look. Babita seemed much more amiable and life loving than he had ever imagined.

"Neil", her heart sighed.

"Happy birthday ", wishes Neil as he handed over her a bouquet.

Minni welcomed everyone and Neil just winked at her in response.

Babita came running to them chirping all over the house.

Minni introduced her to everyone.

Neil just gave a astonished look. Babita seemed much more amiable and life loving than he had ever imagined. She welcome everyone with her most delighted smile. Soon a multi storey cake was brought into the centre by Hanuman Singh marking the beginning of the celebration.

Minni was well dressed in white contrasting to Neil's black jacket. Neil noticed her struggling with a pink scarf. He wondered about her sudden change of preference of carrying a scarf but decided not to ask.

Soon everyone gathered and Minni moved brought her face close to the candle to blow it when Neil stopped her.

"Make a wish ", he asked

Minni just gave a 'what can I ask more' look to him.

She closed her eyes and sent a silent thank you to god for crossing her paths with Neil and making her birthday so special. She wished for their togetherness forever and soon blew the candles followed by cutting of beautiful icy cake. She offered the first bite to Babita followed by Hanuman Singh and her friends.

But as soon as she reached Neil, she rubbed the entire piece of cake over his face and soon made a big step to run before he binds her in his clutches. Neil followed her and soon held her from behind and began rubbing the cake over her face and before Minni could realise her scarf slipped down onto the floor. Everyone just laughed at their kiddish antics and over their caky face.

Minni just looked down in embarrassment with her cheeks beetroot red.

"I"ll be back", asserted Minni and ran to grab some tissue . Neil followed her.

"U need had to do it", Minni glared at Neil and said in her angry bird tone and then quickly turned towards the mirror rubbing her cheeks roughly to get rid of those cake creams.

Neil bent forward to get some tissues when his eyes landed on her naked neck. Hickey....he noticed a red swollen spot embedded beautifully on her skin and just couldn't help smiling in pride.

"What?", asked Mini raising her slightly arched eyebrows.

Neil slides his hand around her waist and pulled her closer.

"Neil...we're at home ", stated Minni her concern.

"So?"he asked as he pulled her more closer and soon buried his face onto her neck placing tender kisses.

"Neil...",Minni moaned.

He then grabbed the sensitive spot with lips , lolling his tongue over there as if absorbing all the pain it could ever give to her. She moaned back in response.

He slowly moved to her cheeks and began living the taste of the cake scattered over her cheeks placing small kisses in between.

"Minnniiieeeeee", Minni heard Babita calling her and in second distanced herself from Neil.

"Coming", she shouted back and soon rushed to the living room followed by Neil.

She began searching for her scarf while covering her red swollen birthday present with her hands. Soon her eyes landed on a tall, young man with black jet hair tossed on his head , continuously staring at her with his most delighted smile.

"Minni..come here", Babita commanded smilingly.

Minni just gave a confused glare to Neil.

"Well lemme introduce you both ", Babita asserted.

"Minni...he is Viraj and Viraj ..she is , our only daughter " Babita introduced.

"Hi", said Viraj as he extended his hand.

"Hello", Minni responded back with her left hand as her right was already enaged over her neck.

Viraj gave weird look and extended his another hand to shake hers.

"All okay?", he asked pointing towards her neck.

"Yeah just a neck ache ", she excused. Neil just smiled sarcastically at her stupid excuse.

Soon Hanuman Singh took Viraj away to discuss same typical old politics and business asking Babita to prepare for dinner.

Babita asked Minni to help her in the kitchen and soon left.

Minni was compelled to follow her despite her own will. She gave a puppy look to Neil and soon left.

On her way , she encountered Mickey standing with a drink in one hand and her pink in other.

Minni just looked and blushed profusely.

"Return it",she asked.

"What?", he asked back.

Minni gave him a glare.

"Fine..this is what I have come for...

Seems like someone had an amazing birthday present ", he teased.

Minni just snatched her scarf from his hand and ran towards the kitchen.

Soon everyone gathered at the dining table. Babita profusely served everyone and soon everyone began having their supper. Minni had her mouth full of food when Hanuman Singh made the most hear heart breaking announcement for them.

"Should we?", he asked Babita Babita smilingly. Babita nodded in yes and Viraj just smiled at them.

"What dad?", asked Minni already confused about everything.

"Well since both of you are here. Let us disclose the actual reason of our arrival ", he asserted. Minni just gave a confused look.

"Well we think now since you have already pursued your dreams,now its it's the time that you should think about yourself and settle down with someone. ", he announced.."and for very that purpose we have chosen Viraj for you. ",stated Babita.

Minni gulped a sob down. She couldn't believe her ears. A moment ago she had been planning to introduce Neil as her better half to her parent but now the worst gift of her birthday was exploded to her.

"But I'm not ready yet ", Minni tried to argue but Babita Babita just gifted her a cold glare as if asking her not to create any scene in front of everyone, specially Viraj.

Minni just shut down.

"We can wait if you want ",said Viraj and before Minni could say anything Neil stood up all of a sudden.

"Excuse me....umm....sorry...umm", he stammered.

"Sorry but I have to leave. It's quite late and I have some work. ",said Neil.

"But the party has just started ",said Babita to Neil.

"No aunty . I just had enough of today ", said Neil and left.

Miini stood up.

"I should see him off".said Minni and followed him.

"Neilllllllll.....", Minni from behind gasping just when Neil was about to climb into his car.

"Neil. Stop. Please stop ", she requested.

"Yeah and for whom Miss Minni. May I know for whom?", he questioned back disheartened.

"Neil...comeon. I had no idea of it",she stated.

"But you could have denied right away ", he complaint.

"I tried...."

"But couldn't "..

"See Minni I know you would never against their will even for me. And I am not against it. Maybe it was destined. This end was destined. Maybe we were never meant to be together. ", Neil choked his voive.

"Neil ...", Minni tried to calm him down but couldn't say anything further.

"I know you heartily them and would surely fulfill your promises. It's not you. It's all my fault. I shouldn't have confessed my heart to you and shouldn't have asked you to do the same. It's all my fault. I messed up everything. Despite knowing the eventual consequences I did it....goshhhhh!!!! Why....why?"

"Because you love me and i love you too Neil. I love you alot.", Minni answered him.

Neil just smiled and left with teary eyes.
