Part-11

Next day, Ishita got ready for office and came for breakfast while Raghu and Mihir asked her,

Raghu - Ishu, beta ek bar phir se soch lo.. Are you sure you are fit and fine to go to the office?

Mihir - Ha Di, kal hi to aapko dr ne kaha tha ki aap perfectly thik ho ab aur aaj hi….

I (glaring at them) - Uncle, Mihir… Enough now. This is the 11th time you are asking me the same question. I’m absolutely fine. And for your kind information, I’m completely fine from many days, it’s just that Raman never listened to me. He was such a hitler.. No you are not fine.. don’t try to do stunts.. don’t do this.. that.. have your medicines.. eat properly etc etc..

She said and then remembered him while Raghu and Mihir smiled looking at her. She saw them looking at her and asked what happened but they nodded in a no.

Raghu - Mihir, tune notice kia.. aaj kal Raman raman aur raman… hamare liye to time hi nhi hai kisi ke pas..

M - Ha uncle..

I - Koi Raman raman nhi ho rha hai.. yeh to aap logo ki vajah se mujhe bolna pada nhi main koi raman raman nhi karti..

M - Di, abhi ek line mein char bar to nam le hi lia aur kya bacha hai..

I - Tu chup kar aur jaldi se breakfast karle, we are getting late.

After that, they didn’t say anything and after completing breakfast, all went to their respective work. As Ishita entered the office, she got a warm welcome by the whole staff who were happy to see her back after a long time. Everyone was coming and meeting her while her eyes were searching for someone else. Even Adhiraj and Simmi too came to meet her but she didn’t find Raman with them also. For the last few months, he was around her most of the day and now unknown to her, she was missing him from the last day after he left. She was sad and disappointed and it was noticed by Adhiraj, Simmi and Mihir so Mihir informed her indirectly that Raman went out for a meeting and he will come to office till lunch time. She got busy with her work.

It was lunch time when she heard a knock on the door. She called the person inside still busy in a file when he said,

R - It’s lunch time Miss CEO.

She immediately looked up at him and smiled but then composed herself.

I - So what?

R - So you should have your lunch now and you are still working.

I - That’s my problem. Why are you getting worried? You do your own work.

R (confused) - Kuch hua hai kya? Office mein bhot din bad aai ho to koi problem hui kya?

I - Ho bhi to aapko kya… You go and attend your meeting, you are a very busy person…

She said rudely and again got busy in file while he was thinking why she started behaving like this all of sudden when he heard her last sentence and thought,

R (thinking) - Kya maine sahi suna… Was she expecting me to be here with her when she came to office after many months? Kya sach mein Ishita Iyer…. Abhi madam ka para bhot badha hua lagta hai.. usse handle karta hu pehle phir sochta hu…

He went to her and holding his one year,

R - Ok, Sorry. I didn’t know that you… I mean.. It was an important meeting. Mihir tha so I thought… Ok leave it. See kan pakad kar sorry hu..

She looked at him and then smiled hearing him and seeing his cute act.

I - Thik hai, kia maaf.

R (smiled) - Ab lunch karlo, you know na…

I - Ha yad hai, medicine leni hai.. Ek hi line repeat karte karte bore nhi ho jate.

R - Nhi, now have your lunch. ok.

He said while she nodded. He was going out making her disappoint as she didn’t know why but she really wanted him near her. He turned and said,

R - Vaise agar madam ko koi problem na ho hum join kar sakte hai unhe?

He asked smiling, making her smile too. She happily agreed and he went to take his lunch box. He entered his cabin and smiled fully remembering her changing behavior. He couldn’t control his happiness and excitement and dialled Adhiraj’s number. Adhiraj was busy in a meeting when he got his calls again and again. Thinking it may be important, he excused himself and went to attend the call.

A - Hi Raman, is anything urgent, I was in…

R - Oh my god Adhiraj, I can’t believe it.., mujhe to samajh hi nhi aa rha yeh sach hai ya koi sapna…

A (smiling) - Sach hai.

R - Kya?

A - Vhi jo tu ab keh rha tha..

R - Ek minute. How do you know?

A - Common on Raman, Is there anything related to you that I don’t know.

R - But yeh kaise..

A - Arey Me and Simmi came there and we could see her restlessness not getting you there. I’m sure you must have got to know about it andn you are talking about that only. Right?

R - Yes. I was surprised.. she was expecting me to be there… My god. you know what.. pehle mujhe lagta tha ki because I’m helping her that’s why she befriended me and used to behave nicely with me but now… i think she is really changing..

A - I told you na, she has all emotions inside her, she is not rude which she showed to you all, her life incidents made her like that, she needed a push plus she needed to know about you all. Now when she has seen the real Bhallas, her behavior is changing towards you all.

R - Yes. She is indeed changing. Thank you so much for always being there with me. You are such a great friend to me..

A - No no Mr Raman Bhalla.. Here you are wrong. main tumse jyada Ishita ka dost hu, tumhara sath tumse jyada uske liye de rha tha.. Because I had seen her.. I know her.. She was more hurt than you all by behaving like that with you all. vo kabhi aone dushman ke sath bhi bura nhi kar sakti, bas zindagi ne itna sab kuch dikhaya tha use ki uska rishto se vishwas hi uth gaya tha… but I’m happy for her that jo vishwas uska tum logo ki vajah se uth gaya tha vo tum logo ki vajah se hi vapas aa gaya.

R - I know what she means to you. Ok I have to go. She is waiting for lunch.

A - Ok bye.

Ishra had lunch together, even shared their lunch. Both were happy for their own reasons.

In the evening, Ishra and Mihir were discussing a project. At seven, they decided to go home now. Mihir got a call from his friend. He went to meet him for some work while Raman left her cabin forgetting his mobile phone. Ishita was leaving her cabin when she saw his mobile phone, she looked for him in his cabin but he already left. She came out and saw Raman leaving in his car, without having another option, she followed his car. She was following him while he was happily driving and listening to the music. She noticed that he was not going towards his home and was confused thinking where he was going. On the way, he bought some flowers also. After some time, she stopped her car seeing him entering the Iyer Mansion.

I - Raman, yahan kya karne aaye hai aur vo is waqt? Maybe kuch kam ho.. but yaha.. What to do? Should I go inside.. nhi nhi.. Main andar kaise.. hum khud hi.. par main ja sakti hu.. hum aoni marzi se gaye the aur unhone to kabhi aane se mna bhi nhi kia. Pta nhi sab kaisa hoga.. bahar se to sab vaisa hi hai..

She thought for some time then went inside. Guards were surprised and happy to see her, all greeted her warmly. She went inside and looked around, everything was just like before, nothing changed. Her parents’ pic was still there, Raman came after washing his hands and face, she hid behind the pillar while he lit the diya which she used to do and placed some flowers in front of it. He talked to their pic happily, maybe sharing something which she couldn’t hear. Then he went upstairs taking the remaining flowers. Everything was neat and clean. She got to know that Bhallas had maintained the house very well, someone from them used to come almost daily to look after everything while Raman used to come daily and spend at least 15 minutes there, talk to them, ask them about the house as well as their needs. She asked about him and got to know that he is in her room only. She went upstairs only to see him putting flowers in the vase talking to her photo.

R - See, I’m back with your favourite flowers. Tumhara taste thoda lag hai but acha hai. So, now time to check your belongings..

He got busy in checking if her things are at right place like before or not along with talking to her photo,

R - You must be thinking ki kya main roz ek boring kam karne aa jata hu but what to do promise kia tha ki I will keep everything at place like you like to do.. to nibhana to padega hi. I want ki.. Jab bhi tum sab wapas yaha aao to sab kuch vaisa hi mile jaisa chod kar gaye the.. And I wish vo din ab jaldi aa jaaye, yeh ghar.. yaha ke log.. yaha ki har cheez tum sab ko miss kar rhi hai.. Come fast Mis Ishita Iyer.. So everything is at their place.. Now time for diary writing.

He unlocked the small cupboard and took out his diary. He sat on the chair and started writing. He wrote something for his diary as per his habit and then started writing or sharing his day with his diary. He looked at her photo and smiled remembering her words, then wrote about it in the diary. He looked up again at her photo and said,

R - Tum saamne hoti to nhi keh pata par sach kahu to… mujhe fark padta hai.. tumahri har bat se, tumhari har takleef se, tumhari presence or absence mere liye bhot matter karti hai Ishita.. I do care about you.

He said smiling and then again got busy in writing. Ishita was watching him and his every action along with hearing his each and every word. She was lost while he completed writing his diary and keeping it back, he turned to go giving a last look to the room and her big photo. He came out of the room only to see her standing lost. He was shocked to see her there and asked her what she was doing there. She gave him his mobile phone telling him how she missed him and followed him but didn’t say anything about her hearing and watching him. Before he could ask anything, she left from there. He was confused if she had seen him, heard him or not and if yes then what did she see and hear and what she must be thinking now. He also left for his home….

Ishu is missing Raman and all can see her restlessness. Raman and adhiraj conversation was nice. Ishra shared their lunch together and they are happy with their own reasons. Love the last part. Ishu followed raman to give his phone and saw him going to iyer mansion. She heard his confession and Raman doesn't have courage to propose her. And he is shocked to see her. And please don't end this story soon.
