I don’t deny some of your points, but I do think that the leap made from a video snippet to end of career, implying nepotism is at play, in wake of sushs death is a reach. No doubt people who are products of nepotism suffer too, but there is a difference between a sushant, siddhant chaturvedi to a NNM. We can argue that NNM suffered the consequences of favoritism in the industry, but not nepotism.

I might be mistaken but I dont think srk or Saif came out and clarified that it had been a prank. While nnm consistently maintained that he was told to enact this prank but they never found time to rehearse. Somehow the silence and abruptness was very awkward.

What I found weird was that Neil didn't confide in his father beforehand. His father naturally understands the games the industry plays and was very upset with Neil for being part of that 'script'.

Whatever it was that incident did affect his career.

As far as I remember he always played delinquent bad guy on screen. Johny, Golmaal, Saaho, Players etc rest all, he never experimented much. When you fit yourself into a Stereotype don't expect others to take your craft seriously.

Yes he was doing films like New York, 7 Khoon Maaf, Lafingay Parindey and now the best he can get is short role in Sooraj Bharjatya film. In his reaction he did say my father is sitting right here and you are making fun of my sur name right in front of him. The fact that he would agree to do a joke like that in front of his father.

We are completely forgetting that after his anger calmed down he very well could have stated what the big wigs asked him to. But name another incident where someone has had to clarify weeks later? Name one other incident when someone had to say their anger response to a bad joke was scripted? Please ?

Yes, mostly pranks are clarified on stage but this one took some time. But Neil did clarify later. Else, as I said, Neil himself is an insider who belongs to reputable fimly fraternity. No one will dare to make fun of on national television. It is not as if he had on going problem with SRK.

Def I am sure he could have been sorry about what he did afterwards. But most of the time it is a prank it is revealed right on stage to remove the sense of awkwardness an entire room would feel after seeing a fight. The room here went silent. Script fights are only entertaining when they are clarified right away!! And people can go we FOOLED you!! A clarification weeks after doesn't have the same affect!

When did I claim that it was SRK specifically that ended his career? Please be careful about what you interpret from reading my post! He did also remove Aish from five films. That could have affected her career but she was lucky to get noticed by Hollywood!
