I don't consider Karna any better warrior he killed only Ghato among important people and that too with the Shakti astra. Yes he did kill 2.3 Akshauni but that wasn't the expectations from him.

If Dury actually felt that Karna wouldn't follow Ashwathama's order, then probably he wasn't sure of Karna's loyalty. Or else Dury felt that Karna would again leave the war like he did during Bheeshm's time?

Would Karna actually rebel in such crucial time?

I think it was after Panchali marriage that the father son duo drifted towards Kauravas because now their biggest enemy state has Pandavas support

But Ashwathama definitely considered Dury as a close friend. The feelings though were reciprocated by Dury, but he was never made a part of his innermost circle, he never got the place Karna had in his life, this I think was one of the cause of his and Karna's loggerhead. Drona's death infuriated him for sure to the heights and then the death of Dury too, hence he decided to go to any limit to avenge his father n friend

His father Dronacharya was in service of Hastinapur, so he followed his father. He was frnd of balrama too, he was bit jealous from arjun 4 sure but he was not conspiring against them.

He was really a true frnd 2 duryodhana not who blindly follow him , I read he many times suggested dury mend his relationship with Pandavas .

The great golden sacrifice of mahabharat has glimpse of arjun ashwatthama frndship.

I don't know why tv serial show him evil. Brc mahabharat actually never showed evil from starting , he was shown gone 2 Panchali's swayamber, called her sister.

He only turned negative after drona's death . He was good warrior.

Yes but they could have left the service before war. They were not bound by any relation.

Ashwathama was never a part of any conspiracies, as I said no reason to dislike those who made you the king

He was definitely a good friend. BRC had him advising Dury to stop the war after Dushy's death( meaning after Drona death too) That was a good portrayal of Ashwathama, don't understand why they made him a villian here. He actually is like a Stephany tyre with Chandal Chaukdi here which he wasn't even near to

Yes really feel bad for Duryodhan in this regard. He had to like calm them, separate them or sort out their differences multiple times.

The thing is that he genuinely cared for both and both could not keep their differences aside for his sake

Bad Ashwy+Karna

U know in dehradun there is mandir known as tapkeshwar mahadev , here shivling is inside a natural cave & water drops from d ceiling keep falling on shivling , it was assumed to be residence of Dronacharya before he went 2 Hastinapur.

As kid ashwatthama use 2 cry for milk & Dronacharya can't afford it , so he had prayed here , it is said instead of water droplets milk started falling on shivling from this incident this place got name as tapkeshwar mahadev.

It's birthplace of ashwatthama.

Not just Ashwathama, also Shakuni has to bear the burden of this Dettol cleaning of Karna. Since Karna has to be good, Shakuni becomes the manipulator (he wasn't. In fact he suggested Dury to come up to terms with Pandavas)

Hell they make Duryodhan do all the stuff in the Dyut Sabha of television which were done by their holier than thou stuck in bad company idol.

Shakuni was definitely evil minded , he only poisioned dury against pandavas , he was also part of bheem poisioning, duet sabha was evil game etc.
