Arjuna would definitely die if we consider Shakti would never go wrong.

Ghatothkach would have been alive.

Or maybe Arjun would use Pashupatastra or Brahmastra to counter it but it is said Shakti will sure kill the person whom it is directed at so yeah...

Or maybe Krishna would do the whole Ghato thing the next day and same would happen- this is most probable

And it was not unidirectional, both sides lost huge losses, the reason why Ghatochkach was send was because Karna was inciting huge losses to Pandavas army
