It's indeed very sad event.......wish could have avoided..........he might have needed earlier than 6 months.......a strong support system always helps.......out of the context............surprised to see....how do you know so many details?🤪

@B...........agree...some are good at their own merit...........if someone is not good....most likely........ they won't survive long......

The thing is that these people are privileged. They had more access to resources. They didn't have to struggle like normal people like SSR to get to the same place who started from nothing. Star kids already had their foot in their door since they were kids because they went parties with their parents where they made such connections. Obviously, it is not their fault that they are privileged but it is their fault that they are not acknowledging this privilege. They need to realize that them not being outsiders does not affect their career negatively and has in fact helped them. Where they go more wrong is that...they discriminate and bully people who are "outsiders". It's time to let these people know that this is no longer acceptable and boycotting is the most peaceful way of protest.

I've been following the news coverage on him...I watched a couple of debates on Indian news channels about mental health. My parents and I have also been having conversation on this a lot. Someone in my extended family passed away by suicide, long before I was born. So, mental health has always been an important issue for my parents.

Hmm that's also true. Sorry, I just felt a bit confused because they are people who performed well enough but I think their off screen behavior is what makes one question this word. Nepotism is in every field but suicide is also not the right option to overcome depression. There are celebs w/ no industry bg but are still happy & successful because they worked hard enough to get their position. BW just has its own mafia that dictates which films are a hit/miss. Also, we have shitty awards that lack credibility.

I agree, suicide is not the right thing do. I’m sorry if it seemed like I was justifying his action. What happened with SSR was tragic. About the nepotistic BW, my point was that they are now shedding crocodile tears and never appreciated him while he was alive. Their words and actions pushed him to such an edge that he took this drastic step...maybe there were other things going on his life too. But the thing is from his interviews he indicated how stressed out he was about his professional life. The people who made him feel this way were the cause of his depression and they need to be held accountable. They need to feel guilt and remorse. Taking one’s life is not natural...human instinct is to survive. When we are drowning we do anything in our power to save ourself. So imagine how deeply troubled one must be to go against our natural instinct to take such a step. Words and actions are powerful...people will always remember you make them feel so we need to be more careful about that as you don’t know how it might affect someone. I am no saint...I have been mean to people and said hurtful things but now that I am older, I regret it and do my best to think twice before saying something. Yes many outsiders made it big and are happy. He was unofficially boycotted by almost 7 production houses. everyone has their own stories and their own struggles...I don’t know what to say. It’s very unfortunate and hopefully people will learn from his story.
