My heart is pounding and am never that affected usually this is unreal

This is just surreal. We were just discussing him coz of the KDMH rewatch and talking about how young he looked back then....what a time to get this news

I’m still trying to process this. Have strangely ended up following his career as he transitioned from PR to movies and rooted for him cuz his work in films impressed me. I still remember how much Byomkesh Bakshi floored me and I felt a strange kind of pride in seeing him grow as an actor. Even later when I lost some interest after his break up with Ankita, I always liked his work in each movie he did. His talent and drive for growth always stood out.

Just makes you once again think about the fact that we can’t know what goes on inside people. Achievements alone don’t guarantee happiness and peace of mind. Clearly there was a lot churning inside him that didn’t find resolution. And the lockdown probably ended up making the loneliness and feeling of isolation worse.

We all need to reach out whatever little we can to provide a hand to anyone who is struggling. Everyone has their own struggles but even taking a little time out for others can go a long way. All the money, fame, big cars, big houses in the world mean nothing when all we see around us is a world with increasingly isolated people who aren’t able to cope with their emotions and thoughts. Material achievements are fleeting...what is the point of any of it if there is no mental peace and so many promising lives being cut short?

Went digging through my old gifs.....he did so much good work on JDJ....his performances with Shampa will remain iconic

And his eternal fangiri over Madhuri...lol

Waise toh we will never fully know what went wrong as him and Ankita outgrew each other but I always got the sense that Ankita anchored him....and once that relationship was over, he was never quite the same.

I'm looking through these old gifs and again remembering how happy he looked with her.....especially the way she rooted for him and supported him through the making and release of KPC

And this bit from his last set visit for PR ka last shoot....lol paagal Ankita wanting to re-enact the title montage.

Ikr I am still so in.shock I couldn't even sleep properly like we were just discussing how he was solid star right then and then PR happened and then the transition and everything he did was good content . The boy who made such a memorable cameo in ok alongside aamir it was huge that his little cameo left more impact than a huge film uppar se his iconic sarfaraz dhoka nahi dega became literally the moto of pakistani cricket team and now all of a sudden you read this. Am honestly not able to digest this so many hours later too am not able to process this and ag loss of words. Mere liye toh even worse as I was actually watching an episode of PR and all of a sudden this pops up .

Word about ankita after that he was lost and despite success idk what happened after so I won't comment as I didn't followed and right now I don't have the courage to read anything. I am purposely avoiding twitter caz I don't want to see anything even worse than reading it. Also the entire bollywood suddenly turning wellwishers and minting this. Though I did read srk's tweet and kinda shed few tears too caz it's so heartfelt. I am also glad to see south stars who I don't rememebr sushi remotely working or interacting with posting such heartfelt notes too like dulquer, nivin, prithvi ,parvathy's entire note who never really had a chance to interact as such either but it means something he really made his presence felt in the short span of his career and this will not be easy to accept anytime soon.

Nobody actually knows what went down and I don't want to read bakwaas and see the same circus or even worse thanks to the media and their sensatanalizing everything which happened after pratyusha did the same.

It gets even worse seeing how he advocated against suicide in chichore and now this sad(

Also I am all of a sudden reminded of the shock when mansoor (kedarnath) ishaan( KPC) were gone so unexpectedly except this is way worse and am actually feeling so heavy and for so teary too .

The media circus isn't helping it either what's worth not letting people grieve in peace too and the glaring fakeness and superficialty of Industry peeps now

I am reminded if that one IV of RK after the strong of flops he have in mid and it hit me hard and it always comes back he was questioned about all of a sudden failure back to back and all he said was yahan doo te suraj ki taraf koi nahi dekhta sirf chahte suraj ko salaam karte hain sab and I remember it hitting me so hard caz of someone like an RK could go through this feeling given his legacy than in what order does anyone comes and perhaps that's why I still remember it too

True. No one knows what went down. I haven't followed Sushant ka offscreen much in a long time now. As I said, I kinda got a bit detached after his break up with Ankita but before that I used to have some idea cuz I was following some of his interviews and stuff.

Yes, it's ironic that he's done a bunch of movies in which his characters ended in tragic death.....Ishaan's in KPC and then Mansoor in Kedarnath....both lovely characters. And yes, I read some tweets on Twitter talking about the irony of him having done a movie like Chhichhore where his character advocated against suicide. But that was a fictional character he was playing....not real life.

I feel like Sushant faced some notable setbacks early on in his movie career that he never fully recovered from. I remember cuz this was the time right after KPC had released, he got rave reviews and suddenly there was news about him signing a flood of big films....PK, Dhoni, Paani, Raabta. Out of these, only PK and Dhoni worked out as expected. I remember Sushant was betting big on Paani and waited like 2 years for that movie to start, but it ultimately fizzled out and I think it did hit him hard even as he tried to move on to other work.

Then Raabta also brought big changes in his life....it was during that shoot only that his break up with Ankita happened and there were rumors about him and Kriti.

The work that Sushant did got critical acclaim always but I think the lack of big box office success after PK and Dhoni maybe ultimately got to him....he could never break into the mainstream no matter how hard he tried. Maybe he hid it all behind a smile and kept going but it seemed to be churning inside him. His mother's death early on in his life seemed to have left a big impact on him. He was always very ambitious and driven....had big dreams he wanted to fulfill....he came close to some of it but I guess the rest corroded something inside him. It's also kinda tragically ironic that the last film he completed was the Fault in our Stars remake.....another story about death and grief.

Thing is, this entertainment industry is a brutal place....people need a lot of mental fortitude to survive there. On one side, these actors churn out these fantasies for the masses, but the other side of the coin is that these entertainers also need more mental health support to manage to do the work they do. Sadly, the world is stuck in a rat race everywhere and no one has time to stop to think to lend a hand, a shoulder or an ear to anyone.

I agree plus a lot of his recent films getting cancelled too that were rumored and then digital releases that stupid drive was so hyped too then it never got released than netflix and boy that was some A grade cheating from the dharma camp it was beyond extra cringe from frame 1 got slammed which ended up.in more cancellations which I guess all started to.pileon uppar se his personal life was also going through ups and downs with all the makeup break up rumors and now this extended lockdown.

It's like nobody spares a thought before saying anything to anyone everyone so casually drops in hate even matters completly unrelated there are constant spam under nonsense hardly any discussions some people have taken it as their birthright to question every move every breath completly normal things that people do as by sensationalizing too which does end up frustrating reading over and over too when it is absolutely unrelated it all piles up even if one knows it's useless trolls but there's a limit and time but yahan toh matters end hi nahi hote. Ab yehi dekh lo na 3 years later bhi dash vs dash chal raha hai and I think we've seen enough rubbish over there too . There's a time when one needs to stop and move on one is gaining nothing in this absurd back and forth. One can fight one time twice maybe thrice but uske baad it's just tension causing and reflects upon you as people. Also people need to censor themselves there's a way to say something. I swear sometimes I feel yeh social media bhi ban hi ho jaana chahiye all it is is now platforms for hate and countless friction in name of being cool.

I am myself guilty of trolling and criticizing but I make sure ke kuch intehaai bakwaas na likh doon. Ab toh woh bhi bohat kam I block and move on the personal attacks caz aaj kal the moment you say something even in a cinvil manner the first thing that comes one's way is abuse and we are to phir bhi normal average people celebrities have to tolerate so much more being scrutinized for every little move *sigh*

It honestly was there always but it was still a lot under control before everyone got a hold on social media

Man I still can't deal with it esp how suddenly we've been appreciating him so much the entire past week all of a sudden casually discussing his journey and now this. I just cannot with why I suddenly felt the need to rewatch PR and then only to read this while watching it like this is SURREAL as you said and am not exaggerating just for the sake of posting. I am not able to focus on anything today.

Yeah the messages from the bolly people seem ironic. He didn’t ever fully fit in there despite attending Farah Khan ki parties. TV pe he got a better support system I guess.

It was really strange that a guy as intelligent and interested in science as he was ended up in show biz.

I read another IV someone posted of him talking about his mother and it definitely sounds like he never recovered from her death and it changed something irrevocably in him. Then other recent career and personal life issues made things worse I guess.

Re: social media. Agree, it definitely brings out all the worst impulses in human nature. People need to self-monitor their own behavior because they never seem to realize how carried away they are getting in herd mentality and obsession with materialistic validation.

In the case of shows and movies aajkal, there is a tendency for people to get personally obsessive, that is why they can’t let go of pettiness 3 years later also. Hum log toh bas shows ke content pe comment karte the and even now the most we talk about is the acting of any particular actor.

There are so many bigger issues in life but some people start orienting their lives around these actors and become consumed with commenting on every aspect of their lives and becoming abusive about everything. That is why social degeneration is happening on a mass level.

Totally as if fighting these lame battles will get them some award of bravery or something the people they fight for hardly even acknowledge it and sometimes just give hawa by choodooing a patakha and then enjoy. No you aren't winning a battle by fighting uselessly for useless causes of celebs e.g xyz is more popular caz xyz has more followers xyz did 30 squats while my fav did 31 squats so more for type of bakwaas.

Yup and it's not only complicating and pressurizing the so called favs to be constantly presenting themselves in a certain way but these people themselves get entangled into this own web of I have to defend no matter what to prove my loyalty to prove that I like this one. They themselves complicate their own lives as a fan too. Not saying ke kabhi defend na karo kabhi stand up na karo but don't do it for stupid causes to show that you are a fan . There's absolutly nothing wrong in being a fan but also calling out in a civil manner. Don't hero worship period.

I have seen some recent planned trends on Twitter and it left me with a jaw drop at how vile people can be mostly in kollywood fandom on one superstar's bday they'd be trending the end of other pray for downfall and spread fake rumors and that is real am.not making it up and it's just next level of insanity and I do not support this at all. Why can't one celebrate your own star and go on . Why is it so hard to just mind your own business. If you like something appreciate it if you don't maybe post a civil tweet about your dislike and move on. Don't attack anyone for not agreeing with your opinions as simple as that

That requires maturity of mind, and a mature support system in people's lives as well. But again, the world we now live in is about increasing isolation despite things like the internet and social media otherwise making communication easier. So people just have more ways to distract themselves now....all of this obsession with celebrities, worshipping them, stalking their every move , abusing people online....all of these are just means of distracting themselves from their own existence.

Most people are not mentally equipped to manage social media and honestly shouldn't be on it. But kaun rokega? That is the paradox of the internet age....there is no sense of parameters of what people are able to access, even if they are not mentally or emotionally ready to manage it.

I thought I had deleted most of my old Sushant-Ankita vids but I still found some old VMs.....it's surreal that he is gone now but he will live on in memory through all these clips. We never think while making these random gifs/edits and vids ki some of them will end up immortalizing these folks beyond their lifetimes.

This is one of my fav. VMs I made on them....the song is so bittersweet.
