Chapter 2:-

Shravan hadn't wasted a minute when he recieved the call of Coach Shah stating that Dean Yogi was on death bed and waited for them. He cancelled all his meetings and deals and went straight to home. And from there, they departed to India, in the flight that was available at the earliest.

Anish looked out of the window. Although his eyes were looking out, to the distant sky, his mind was wondering around his memories from St.Teresa. The bittersweet memories. Of Friendship,Trust, Love and Betrayal. His missed the two girls, who were his life, Devika and Suman.

The Black Mercedes S class came to a halt outside the gate of the hospital. She came out, after he opened the door for her. He let her take the lead and followed, silently, after assuring her that everything would be fine.

She walked in dressed in knee length black coat, light pink top and black jeans. Half of her hair was clipped back with her bangs flowing to the right of her face. Butterflies jumped in her stomach as she walked through the corridors of the hospital. She knew they were waiting for her. Her heart started beating faster when her eyes landed on them. They all were sitting or standing in the waiting room.

Manya's eyes fell on her.

'Suman!' her best friend said ecitedly and stood up. Everyone's eyes turned to her and she gave them a small, weak smile. It has been five years since she has seen any of them. She had broken all ties with them, 5 years ago and disappeared. Literally disappeared. She talked rarely with Kanchan on FaceTime , but it was altogether a different thing.

'Hello, Manya.' Suman's voice trembled a bit as she spoke. Manya smiled at her and gives her a tight hug.
' You have changed a lot, Sum.' Kanchan said.

She hugged her too.

' You married?' Saheb asked, surprised.

' What are you saying, Saheb?' Kanchan asked, bewildered.

' You see for yourself.' Saheb pointed towards Suman's forehead. Everyone's eyes turned to her, making her uneasy.

Kanchan narrowed her eyes when she saw something red between Suman's hair and shrieked. She moved her hair to see her maang filled.

' Suman, you married and didn't tell me? You didn't tell your sister?' Kanchan asked with her eyes filled with tears.

' But whom did you marry?' asked Anish, who was quiet the whole time. Suman just stared blankly. She didn't knew what to say.

' She married me.' came his voice. He walked to them dressed in black coat, black jeans and white shirt. His handsome chiseled face was stiff and his eyes were cold.

All of them were shocked to see him after five years. Never did any of them think they would see him or he would come. They also had no idea that Suman was married to Shravan.

Suman closed her eyes when she heard another voice. The voice of him. She prayed to God to let everything be okay.

'Shravan.' the name escaped Anish's mouth.

Shravan came to them , 'Hi, guys.'
He possesively wrapped his arm around Suman's waist who was not a bit surprised at his sudden move.
'You married Suman?' Bunty asked, surprised.

Shravan looked at him coldly.

' Yeah, me. Any problem?' he replied, in a rather harsh tone.

Memories flooded in.

Years ago...

' Suman will sit beside me.' said Anish and sat to the left of Devika.

' No! I have no intention to babysit two lovebirds. Bunty, sit here.'

She skipped the seat and the next. And sat at the far end, beside Kanchan.

Kanchan smiled.

Just then, Shravan came and sat beside her, on her right. She smiled at him and he smiled back. She looked at her friends who already had raised her brows. Anish was irritated.

' What are you doing here? Don't know that this row is reserved?'

Shravan was about to reply , but Suman spoke up for him.

' Let him be here na, Anish! See, already the Dean is on the podium!'

' Umm. Don't mind him, Shravan. He is like this only. Tough from outside, but good from inside. Once you will know him, I am sure, you two will be good friends.'

' Aren't you defending him? You too are good friends, na?'

' Yeah, We grew up together. Childhood friends!

' Oh I see.'

The Dean began his speech. Everyone payed attention to it.

' Students, many years ago...'

The business tycoon Ashok Nanda made his entry.

A smile formed in Shravan's lips. He was seeing his idol in front of his eyes.

He was lost in hearing his speech when his eyes moved towards left side and noticed Anish plugging in wireless earphones. He rolled his eyes at the weirdness.

Suman understood him and said, ' Anish is not in good terms with his dad, since childhood.'

' Oh.' Shravan sighed and payed attention on the lecture. His eyes shone with happiness when he heard the announcement of the coveted title ' Student Of The Year.'

This was his only hope to prove himself and toanagr his financial expenses. Because no one financed him for his studies. Till then, he continued his studies with the help of scholarships and prize money he used to get in contest. Infact , he was able to come and study in St.Teresa because of the sports scholarship he got. This was his last chance to prove his mettle, and he will do anything for it.

After the assembly ended, the students proceeded towards their respective classes.

Suddenly, someone called Suman from behind.

' Suman, wait.'

' Yes, Anish? Want to say something?'

Anish asked her curtly,' Why were you laughing when that Shravan ruined my car?'

' He didn't ruin it, Anish! Just put some mud on it. And by the way, had I been in his place, I would have done the same.'

' Suman! You are my best friend, not his!' he held her wrist, a little to tightly.

' Leave me, Anish.'

' Nope. I won't.'

' It's hurting!'

Anish left her hand and let her run away, huffing.

Shravan was the sole witness to this. He wasn't feeling right about it. A sudden feeling of protectiveness engulfed him. He decided to keep an eye on Anish and his doings.

'Hey! Hello, Shravan!'

' Oh, it's you, Saheb! Hi, Bro!'

' Damn, yaar! Where you got so much of energy and swag? Girls will be impressed!'

' Ah, you are too good, Saheb. Let's go and sit! Prof is about to come!'

They went and sat and just then, the teacher came.

' Shravan Malhotra?'

' Yes, Sir!' he stood up.

' Welcome to the college. Hope you are having a good time here. Welcome to my class too. What are your dreams, son?'

' I have many dreams, Sir. First and foremost, write my name in the book of history. I want do something notable which generations will remember, Sir. I want to form my own startup.'

' Good. Have your seat.'

' Hmm... Impressive!' Manya whispered to Suman,who rolled her eyes.

' Manya, how many boys would you stalk?'

' Hey, Bestie, you know na, I love only Anish. I can't look at other boys!'

' Ya ya. Who knows it better than me?' Suman moved looked to the other direction and saw Shravan scribbling on his notebook.

' Too sincere!' she thought, and smiled.

' Miss Tiwari?'

' Yes, Sir?'

' Kindly provide Malhotra with the notes.'

' Okay, Sir.' Suman sat down and looked at Shravan, who passed a smile. She genuinely smiled back.

Anish wasn't a bit pleased with this. He somehow wasn't liking the guts of Shravan. He frowned.

After class:-

' Hey, Sum, let's go to the canteen!' Kanchan said, smiling.

And that same time only,' Suman, can you help me out with this? I stuck with this problems.' Shravan came to her desk with a notebook.

' Sit, let's do it!' Suman replied, smiling. Her chirpy voice was enough to get the attention of others.

' What? Sir only told me to help him plus there is no crime in meing friendly, right?' she replied, hesitating.

Kanchan just smiled at her and shoved Tanya away and went out.

Anish gave a lost glance and went out, with Devika.

' Here, see. This we will can solve it.'

' Thanks, Suman.'

' No Thank you and sorry between friends!' Suman chirped happily. She got a wide smile in return.

' What? Why are you smiling like that?' Suman raised her brows.

' No I mean... Leave it. By the way, I saw you as the only one who laughed when I spoiled Anish's car.'

' He deserves that. Although I am his friend and know him from childhood, his wrongs can't be justified. Now that this work is complete, let's go to the canteen! You will find world's best sewaiyan there!'

Suman said and licked her lips.

Shravan giggled seeing her antics.

' What's there to laugh. Anyways, let's go!'

They went to the canteen.
