It's tough to simply copy the text because Vyasa narrates the tale as an observer. He never gets into someone's head to explain the character's inside thoughts. Monologues shown in adaptations are important creative liberties and there's not a single adaptation without it.

Creative liberties are necessary...distortions aren't. Specially the gargantuan ones shown here. It's nothing but lack of research.

I'm glad certain things cover it up for you. Old members of this forum including me used to get blistering headaches over distortions. 🤣

Thakur Anoop Singh was only 23 then. His onscreen sons looked older to him. 🤣
